Sharp, David Ray, age 74, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died October 7, 2021. Dave was born in St. Joseph, MO and was the son of the late, Ray G. and Theresa Derks Sharp. He was a member of the Basilica Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Atlanta, GA and St. Stephens Catholic Community in Old Hickory, TN. Dave spent 50 years in the grocery industry as a food broker and was currently Division President at Empire Marketing Strategies in Nashville, TN. He enjoyed watching baseball and football, but mostly enjoyed doing for others.  He spent his life giving and entertaining his family, friends and clients. Dave was preceded in death by his sister, Mamie Kay Berkemeier.      

He is survived by:

Son – Lance (Natalie) Sharp

Daughter – Tanya (Robert) Bouchard

Grandchildren – Taylor Sharp, Bryce Bouchard, Marlee Sharp and McKade Sharp

Nephews – Michael, Paul and Nick Berkemeier

 

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Bond Memorial Chapel.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the American Red Cross since Dave donated blood as often as they would allow, or you can buy his grandchildren lunch someday and tell them about the man you knew and loved.

Young, Jr., Chris Lee, age 51, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died October 2, 2021. Lee was employed by Intertek/PSI. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and outdoorsman. Lee was preceded in death by his father, Chris Lee Young, Sr. and his step-father, Billy Norman.

He is survived by:

Daughter – Hailey Young

Mother – Rebecca Norman

Step-mother – Debbie Young

McCulloch, Guy Dillon “Diddy”, age 69, of Mt. Juliet, TN, passed away October 7, 2021 after a life well lived. He fought until the end but could not overcome the erosion of time on a hard working body. Diddy was the son of the late, Forrest “Nabe” and Alice Jones McCulloch. He was a 1970 graduate of Mt. Juliet High School, attended Freed-Hardeman from 1970-1972, and graduated from Vol State in 1975 with a degree in respiratory therapy.  Diddy spent many years as an employee of Jones Brothers. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jere McCulloch. The epitome of a southern man at home on a tractor, Diddy was a reminder of a one-lane Mt. Juliet road, nothing below the interstate, and a little white church in the middle of town. He was always the first to volunteer and the last to take any credit. It was his honest and classic nature that made him a magnet for all those who knew him. Never short to laugh or give a hug, he was loved at parties, work and most of all home. He was and always will be a father figure to dozens. All of these qualities made him a fixture of the entire community through his 69 years. He will be missed more than words can express.

Wife of 36 years – Ann Cook McCulloch

Son – Matt (Katie) McCulloch

Daughters – Kelly (Jeff Voisine) McCulloch and Jenny (Dustin) Judy

Brother – Dale (Mary) McCulloch

Grandchildren – Peyton Judy, Carter Judy, Aislynn Voisine and Davin Voisine

Bonus sons – Daniel Robinson and Spencer Wall

Bonus Daughters – Mercy James and Brandy Byrd

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 12, 2021 with Deron Henry officiating.

Burns, Kenneth Malcolm, age 64, of Lebanon, TN, died October 19, 2021. Kenny was born in Nashville, TN and was the son of the late, Thomas Robert and Mary Elizabeth James Burns. He was a member of Christ Family Church. Kenny was a 1976 graduate of Mt. Juliet High School and attended Vol State Community College. He served as a Lieutenant Deputy for the Wilson County Sheriff’s office for 30 years and then was employed as a driver for FedEX Freight for 15 years. Kenny was an avid Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiast. He also enjoyed raising and feeding bottle calves and fishing.  Kenny was also known to be quite the prankster.

He is survived by:

Wife of nearly 46 years – Dale Burns

Children – Jason Burns and April (Heath) Martin

Brothers – Thomas J. (Tracey) Burns and John (Gail) Brummitt

Sister – Teresa (Billy) Denson

Grandchildren – Haisley Ann Burns and Caden Parker Burns

Several nieces and nephews, a large extended family and many friends

 

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, October 22, 2021 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Samuel Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Ever Rest Cemetery in Pleasantview, TN.

Baltz, Frances Ann Delvin, age 90, of Bethpage, TN, died October 20, 2021. Mrs. Baltz was born in Nashville, TN and was the daughter of the late, Clyde Henry Delvin, Sr. and Caroline Winifred Bailey Delvin. She was a member of the Catholic faith. Mrs. Baltz enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles and cake decorating. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Baltz, Sr.; siblings, Clyde Delvin, Jr. and Patsy Delvin; son-in-law, Doug Tidwell and daughter-in-law, Mary Pat Baltz.

She is survived by:

McReynolds, Tommy Edward, age 85, of Hermitage, TN, died October 28, 2021. Tommy was born in Baxter, TN and was the son of the late, James and Vennie Esther Mahan McReynolds. He was preceded in death by 6 siblings. Tommy was an Eagle Scout and leader, as well as, Captain in the U.S. Army and a graduate of Tennessee Technological University. He retired with 35 years of service from the Army Corps of Engineers and then worked an additional 10 years as a surveyor. Tommy was a member of the Donelson YMCA where he worked out 6 days a week and was an avid swimmer. He was known as “Mr. Fix-It” in his Stoners Glen neighborhood and founded the ROMEO club (Retired Old Men Eating Out) in an effort to keep everyone connected.

He is survived by:

Wife of 63 years – Harriet Ann McGugin McReynolds

Children (Spouses) – Gary (Lisa) McReynolds, Larry (Angie) McReynolds and

                                      Julie (Gabe) Stinson

Sister – Evelyn Frazier

Duplisea, Gracie Louise, age 13, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died October 28, 2021.

Gracie was born in Springfield, TN on April 3, 2008. To know her was to love her. She was a perfect mixture of sweet and sassy with a beautiful smile and an infectious laugh. Gracie was a student at Mt. Juliet Middle School and spent many years in therapy at Lyttle Fox. She was a member of Providence United Methodist Church. Gracie loved playing games and playing with her baby dolls – especially the ones that cried. She was also the “star” of the Daddy and Gracie Show on You Tube and in 2015 was named Honorary Fire Chief for the Mt. Juliet Fire Department. Gracie left an imprint on all the hearts and lives of anyone who met her. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Donna Louise Duplisea, Bobbie Lee Vaughn Litchfield and Robert David Burdick.

She is survived by:

Mother – Roxanne Duplisea

Father – Tim Duplisea

Sister – Natasha Duplisea

Nephew – Leonel Duplisea

Many aunts, uncles and cousins in Tennessee, Massachusetts, North Carolina and Kentucky

 

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Providence United Methodist Church, 2293 S. Rutland Road, Mt. Juliet, TN with Pastor Jacob Armstrong and Pastor Mark Youngman officiating.
