Jeff Mongold

Jeff Mongold, age 76, passed away peacefully at home on October 29, 2026, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Jeff leaves behind a legacy of leadership, love, and laughter.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Gloria Mongold; he is survived by his beloved wife, Rita; his daughter, Amanda (Lucas); granddaughters, Sophia and Hazel; his brothers, Jim (Susan) and David (Jenny); his sister, Lori; and numerous nieces and nephews who lovingly gave him nicknames such as “Uncle,” “Uncle Fuff.” and “Floof.”

As a UPS driver for 42 years, Jeff was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to doing any job the right way.

He had many hobbies throughout the years, most recently refurbishing old military swords—a hobby he approached with the same perfectionism that shaped his life. His love for learning and history made him a guru of sorts.

Jeff was known for his wit and infectious laughter. At the same time, he held himself and those around him to a high moral standard.

A memorial service in honor of Jeff will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 3 PM at Bond Memorial Chapel. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.
