Marilyn Louise Callis

Marilyn Louise Callis, 80, passed away peacefully at her home on September 25, 2026. Born to Hershel and Louise Reed in Lebanon, TN, Marilyn was a cherished member of her community and a beloved family matriarch. A proud graduate of Lebanon High School, class of 1964, she carried her hometown spirit with her throughout her life.

Marilyn had a passion for music, particularly Southern gospel, which she loved to sing, sharing her joyful spirit with everyone around her. Her professional life was marked by her dedication as an assistant branch manager at Wilson Bank and Trust, where she retired after years of exemplary service. A devoted member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Marilyn found community and fellowship in her faith. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and leaves behind a loving family. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Callis; her children, Andy (Tracey) Bond and Tim Bond; her stepchildren, Matthew Callis (Alicia) and Marianne Stewart (Patrick); and her cherished grandchildren, John and James Stewart, and Lily Callis.

A funeral service to honor Marilyn’s life will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Immanuel Baptist Church at 3:00 p.m. The service will be officiated by Bro. Jeff Pratt and Bro. Mark Caruth, with interment to follow at Barton's Creek Cemetery. Visitation will take place at the church from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Marilyn will be lovingly remembered for her warmth, her songs, and the light she brought into the lives of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
