Pamela "Pam" Sue Bennett, a beloved mother, Granny, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on May 27, 1952, in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. Pam lived a life full of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories, enriching the lives of everyone she met.
Pam was known for her fun-loving, warmhearted spirit. She had a unique ability to light up any room with her infectious laughter and vibrant personality, bringing joy to all who surrounded her. While she was known for her cheerful demeanor, Pam also possessed a firm resolve; she stood her ground and was unapologetically honest, always speaking her mind. Pam would tell it like it was! Family was the cornerstone of Pam's life. In a letter found recently she talked about how she always wanted to see her children and grandchildren be saved. She cherished spending time with her loved ones, creating lasting memories through travels and adventures with her family.
Professionally, Pam made an impact in the community as a school bus driver for Wilson County, Tennessee, for nearly 16 years. She loved driving that bus, and she loved her bus kids. They weren’t just passengers she picked up and dropped off. They were part of her days, part of her routine, and part of her heart.
Pam's quirks and passions will be fondly remembered. She loved playing poker, bingo, spending time at her pool, her morning coffee, cigarettes and wordle. She loved listening to her wind chimes, enjoying sweet tea by the gallon from Whitt's, and had a humorous attachment to her Styrofoam cups and plastic straws (which she better not catch you throwing away), plastic to-go containers from every restaurant near by (which she expected you to bring back), cardboard boxes, Christmas bags reused for 20 Christmases, and enough wrapping paper to supply the generations to come.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents Ralph Sanders and Roberta Ann Sanders (Sexton), and her loving husband of almost 50 years, Daniel Bennett.
She is survived by her daughters Danielle (Alex) Bodie, April (Matthew) Johnson, and Megan (Elijah) Hosse; her brothers David "Dave" (Mary) Sanders, and Robert "Bob" (Darlene) Sanders; her grandchildren, Bailey, Michael, Jackson, Kynlee, Ellie, Liam, Naomi, Pearl, and Alex. As well as one great grandchild, Corbin, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service celebrating Pam's life will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Bond Memorial Chapel, officiated by Elijah Hosse. Visitation will take place from 11 AM until 1 PM, with the service to follow at 1 PM.
Though our hearts ache with the loss of Mom, we find comfort in the beautiful memories she leaves behind. Her laughter, her love, and the joy she brought to those around her will never be forgotten.
