Robertson, II, John Dill, age 69, of Old Hickory, TN was born on October 26, 1954 in Jackson, MS to the late Thomas S. Robertson Jr. and Anne DeSaix Robertson. After a short battle with cancer, he left us on July 6, 2024 with his children by his side.
John grew up in Jackson, MS. He started sailing when he was a small child and won his first regatta at the Memphis Cotton Carnival Regatta in 1966 when he was eleven years old. He was a competitive swimmer in elementary and junior high. John earned his Eagle Scout in 1969. John graduated high school in 1972 from Murray High School in Jackson, MS and later attended The University of Mississippi (Hotty Toddy!). After college he started working for an electrical supply company in Memphis, TN and also worked for GE in Memphis.
John moved to Mt. Juliet, TN in 1989 when he was hired with Stuart Irby Company selling factory automation, which he ended up retiring from in 2020. He was very successful at his job and won many awards over his career. He won multiple Presidential Awards, and earned Top 3 seller in the company several times over. He eventually became a trainer for Irby salespeople. He loved working for Irby and made many lifelong friends there and often reminisced on the fun trips they were able to take over the years.
John had an extreme love of sailing and being on or near the water at any capacity. He was a longtime member of Harbor Island Yacht Club and Percy Priest Yacht Club where he made many lifelong friends. He was an avid lover of the J-22 and laser classes and won many regattas all over the country. He strongly believed a bad day of sailing beat a good day at the office, any day!
He loved to ride his Harleys with his son and friends over the years. He also loved driving his little red corvette. John loved spending weeks at a time at his condo in Florida and having the grandchildren come down and play on the beach and go to our favorite spots on the intercoastal waterways on the boat. He loved to set the crab traps and see what treasures would be caught over night when the grandchildren were in town. He believed Fort Walton Beach was his “little slice of heaven” and never missed a chance to meet up with friends for happy hour aka “therapy."
He leaves behind his beloved sister Marianne Wallace of Lake Charles, LA, and a brother Tom Robertson (Cindy) of Tucson, AZ. One son Dustin Robertson (Lauren) of Mt. Juliet, TN and one daughter Rebecca Robertson Fuller (Jared) of Mt. Juliet, TN. His absolute pride and joy, his 5 grandchildren: Haven Robertson, John-Browning Fuller, Kasen Robertson, Sam Heath Fuller, and Ariah Robertson. Several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces. Uncle Harry DeSaix (Anne) of Memphis, TN. Aunt Claire Simpson of Burlington, NJ. Longtime best friend Sean Clare. And many, many dear friends that he also considered family.

Vickers, Jesse Donald, age 86, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died July 4, 2024. Don was born in DeKalb County, TN and was the son of the late, Greeley Vickers and Elsie Barny Vickers. He was a graduate of Liberty High School. Don was longtime member of Mt. Juliet Church of Christ and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from Ford Glass in 1998. Don enjoyed doing electrical work and welding. In addition to his parents, Don was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Vickers; wife, Leanne Hackney Vickers and daughter, Kathy Vickers.

Conatser, Barbara Jean, age 81, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died July 1, 2024. Jean was born in Detroit, Michigan and was the daughter of the late, W.T. Bates and Virginia Prentice Bates.
Jean had an extreme love for teaching children and creating art.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Juliet for 54 years and taught kindergarten and art for a couple years at Mt. Juliet Christian Academy. Beginning in 1981, Jean taught art for 20 years in her art studio and then in 1997, she became a professional photographer specializing in children’s portraits. She loved drawing, oil painting, writing poems, taking pictures, and most recently creating pottery.
In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her brother, Bill Bates.

Brent, Joseph Marshall “Joey”, age 38, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died July 1, 2024. Joey was a proud combat veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He loved his four children and considered them his greatest contribution to this world. He had the biggest heart for his family, friends, and neighbors, and always looked out for the less fortunate. Joey loved UT football, Braves baseball, a fresh cut yard, a home cooked meal, and a round of golf. He loved watching Eli play basketball, and they enjoyed their late nights catching up on sports headlines. He loved to cheer Haddie on playing softball and cherished their front porch conversations. He loved to play “tackle” and laugh with Ellison and Emilia. Joey always made sure his children knew how much he loved them. His friendly smile, hearty laugh, quick wit, and bear hugs will be deeply missed by his many friends and family.

Tanaro, Albert Raymond, age 58, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died July 3, 2024. Albert was born on December 7, 1965, in Yonkers, New York and was the son of the late Albert and MaryEllen Tanaro. Albert was known by most as “Pappy” He was a bright, energetic, a light in everyone’s life – never meeting a stranger. A loving husband of almost 39 years who adored his grandkids more than anything. A devoted Catholic, spreading the word of Jesus to all he met. If you asked Albert to describe himself, he would say he was a Champion, a Legend, and of course the ultimate pool shark! Known for his quick wit and charm, his presence will be truly missed by many.

Coursey, Mary Frances, age 97, of Nashville, TN, died July 3, 2024. Mary was born in Nashville to the late Shannon Bradford Mayfield and Mary Lou Mayfield. She lived most of her adult life in Donelson, TN. In her youth, she was a social butterfly and loved to roller skate and dance. She was well liked and admired by all. She was a Spelling Bee champion at her high school and later wrote her memoirs of growing up on the home front during World War Two.
She was married to Daniel Coursey and was a staple in the Donelson community. She worked for many years in the law offices of Newman and Sadler as well as doing tax preparation for many. She was an avid bookkeeper and very sharp with tax laws and changes. She went on to sell Avon cosmetics for over 10 years in the Donelson and Hermitage areas. She then got her real estate license and worked for over 30 years as a realtor for Baker Harwell, Joel Riggs and Coldwell Banker Realty offices. She developed a friendship with each client and kept in touch with most for several years after the sale. Despite being well beyond the typical retirement age, she worked for Flowers by Brookie up until her upper 80s just because she loved working with people. Mary was also known as another mother to many as well. She eagerly volunteered to drive neighborhood kids, friends and school kids all over town for functions because she just loved being a part of their lives.
Mary also volunteered at the VA Hospital in Nashville and had hundreds of hours of volunteer time. She grew up during World War Two as a teenager and had a genuine heart of service for our veterans. Her love of others and country, unstoppable worth ethic and genuine regard for all humanity made her a model of the Greatest Generation.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Coursey and her daughter, Karen Eakes.

Williamson, Wayne, age 79, of Mt. Juliet, TN passed away on July 12, 2024. Wayne was born to Floyd and Deane Williamson in Nashville, Arkansas. Wayne was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. He and his father even built a pontoon boat together so their family could spend more time together in the outdoors.
After high school, Wayne attended Harding College where he majored in Business Administration. While at Harding, Wayne met the love of his life Betty. Following graduation, he moved to Nashville, TN where he began working for Firestone. Wayne began in a retail store and then moved to Accounting and Risk Management where he spent the rest of his career working for Bridgestone/Firestone.
Faith in Jesus was important to Wayne’s life. Wayne and his wife Betty are devout Christians and members of the Mt. Juliet church of Christ. Throughout their marriage, they lived in Nashville, TN, Myrtle Beach, SC, Columbia, TN, Brunswick, OH, and Mt Juliet, TN. In each of these places, Wayne has been an active servant of God. Wayne has served in jail ministry and disaster relief, he has also served as a song leader, Sunday school teacher, Deacon, and an Elder. Wayne has always sought to make a difference in the kingdom of God, and he did make a difference.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 55 years Betty Williamson; his children Deana (Chris) Driver and Mark (Melissa)Williamson; and four grandchildren, Gabrielle and Michael Driver and Ellen and John Williamson.
Funeral Services for Wayne Williamson will be held 12 noon Tuesday, July 16, 2024 in the Mt. Juliet church of Christ building with Tim Martin and Craig Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Faulkner, Anna Marie, age 75, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died July 15, 2024. Anna was born on August 14, 1948, in Philadelphia, PA and was the daughter of the late, John Wesley Hoey and Marion Mae Gettle. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roger Wayne Faulkner. Anna Faulkner wasn’t just a good Mom; she was a good friend. Strong willed and hard working until the last day.

Elizabeth Ann K. Holshouser, was born to Daile Dean Keigley and Elizabeth Brent Keigley on July 3, 1948 in Ancon, Panama in the Canal Zone. When her parents became concerned with her safety living in the Zone, she moved to Caruthersville, Missouri to live with her uncle and aunt, Floyd and Thelma Brent Barnhart (Uncle Barney and Aunt “T”), her second set of parents. She graduated from Caruthersville High School in 1966, where she was crowned as “Cotton Blossom Yearbook Queen”.
After graduating high school, she pursued her studies at Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky. At Murray State, Ann studied education and was a member of the Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority. It is here where she met Tony Holshouser, her husband of 55 years.
Ann and Tony married on April 5,1969. In September 1970, their daughter Lisa Holshouser was born. They remained in Kentucky until 1972 and then moved to Nashville, Tennessee where Ann taught elementary school students, working for Metro Nashville Public Schools for over 30 years.
Ann’s faith was central to her life, and she was a devoted Christian who always showed compassion, kindness, and love for others. She was a lifetime learner and loved to travel; teaching others was her passion. Ann was known for her artistic abilities in painting, calligraphy and needlepoint, to name a few. She was also a perfectionist and loved to organize.
Known as “Honey” to her grandchildren, Ann loved Libby, Lee and Wes with all her heart. She would do anything to help them grow and flourish, whether that meant reading a book, teaching them about snakes or how to ice cookies. They were beyond blessed to have spent so much time with her, especially when she would travel to Belgium to help Lisa.
Ann passed away peacefully on May 25, 2024 after a long battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daile and Elizabeth Keigley and her Uncle Floyd and Aunt Thelma Barnhart. She is survived by her husband, Tony; daughter, Lisa and her husband, Chris Taylor and her grandchildren, Libby, Lee and Wes; and her older brother, Richard Keigley and his wife, Janet of Bozeman, Montana.
Elizabeth Ann Holshouser leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and unwavering faith. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, but her memory will continue to inspire and uplift those whose lives she touched. May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with her heavenly Father.

Rachels life was a testament to joy, resilience, and love. She will be deeply missed and forever loved and remembered in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Waters, Dan M., age 78, of Nashville, TN passed away on July 22, 2024. Dan was born to the late Oswell and June Waters in Luray, Virginia. Dan was a faithful member of Donelson View Baptist Church, and he taught auto mechanics at Hillwood High School for 30 years. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Oswell Waters, Jr. and his sister, Faye Vaughn.

Mary Emily Head (1939-2024) Emily, a longtime resident of Pensacola, FL, passed away July 24, 2024, at the age of 85. She worked as a Director of Special Education in the Katy Independent School District in Katy, TX, specializing in all areas, but eventually focused on services for gifted and talented children. She retired at age 55 and returned to her childhood home in Pensacola. Always a fan of the underdog, she cheered anyone at a disadvantage and appreciated their stories. She has been a lifelong animal lover, book reader and cross stitcher. Never would you find her home without a cat, dog or both, always rescued. Emily was preceded in death by her father, Charles Nelson Tubb; mother, Louisa (Lick) Lewis Tubb; and close cousin, Euchrist Suarez Barber. She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Head and Amy Simcik, her son-in-law, Chris Simcik, grandsons Evan and Ross Simcik and beloved pets Chip, Daisy and Louie.
