Jane Thompson Bull

Bull, Jane Thompson, age 94 of Mt. Juliet, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2026. She was born in Lebanon, Tennessee to the late Deedy and Mable Thompson. Jane was known by her family as the world’s best mother, grandmother, and cook. A woman of deep faith, she was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Juliet. Above all else she loved the Lord and her family. Jane was an amazing cook and a gracious hostess who found her greatest joy in spending time with her loved ones, especially her cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren, who affectionately called her Nana. She will be dearly missed by all.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Deedy Thompson and Mable Drennon Thompson; her husband, Robert Williams “Bob” Bull; brothers, Joe Thompson and Claude Thompson; and her sister, Sylvia Baker.

Jane is survived by:

Daughters – Valerie B. (Larry) Phillips and Michal B. (Stuart) Knarr

Grandchildren – Curtis W. (Stefanie) Phillips, Michael V. (Haley) Phillips, Kaitlin N. Knarr and Dylan Knarr

Great Grandchildren – Eva Phillips, Vincent Phillips, Victoria Phillips, Jensen Phillips, Isla Phillips, Nora Phillips, and Arwen Phillips.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church Mt. Juliet with Rev. Billie Friel officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. The Pallbearers will be Larry Phillips, Curtis Phillips, Michael Phillips, Stuart Knarr, Dylan Knarr, Steve Thompson, Kaitlin Knarr, and Trent Patterson. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Bond Memorial Chapel and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
