Charles "Casey" Hamblen

Charles "Casey" Hamblen, age 91, of Mt. Juliet, passed away on July 11, 2026. He was born in the Suggs Creek Community to William Benson Hamblen, Sr., and Bettie Marie Hamblen.

Casey proudly served in the U.S. Army and the Tennessee National Guard, retiring at the rank of CW4. He also served his community for many years as a rural mail carrier. Casey found joy in playing golf, growing vegetables, and mowing grass. He was a talker who never met a stranger, always ready with a smile and a kind word. A member of Victory Baptist Church, Casey’s faith was a guiding light throughout his life. Above all, he was a proud grandfather.

Casey is survived by his daughters, Sonja (Andy) Stewart and Melanie (Kevin) Brewer; his siblings, James Hamblen (Patty), Nell Stephens, and Dell Gibson; his grandchildren Andrew Stewart, Christy Brewer, and Lauren Brewer. Casey was preceded in death by his wife Joyce H. Hamblen, his parents Benson and Bettie Hamblen, his siblings Anita Gale Hamblen, Sue Hamblen, William Benson Hamblen Jr. and Bob Hamblen.

A graveside service will take place on Wednesday July 15, 2026 at 12:30 p.m. at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens officiated by Bro. Chuck Groover. Visitation will be held Wednesday morning from 10:00 am until 12:00 p.m. at Bond Memorial Chapel.
