Mullins, Thomas Eugene “Tommy”, age 84, of Mt. Juliet, TN died December 4, 2023. Tommy was born in Nashville, TN and was the son of the late, Frank Thomas and Annie Mullins. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Frank “Pete” Davis Mullins, Howard Mullins, and Larry Mullins; and a sister, Darlene Trent.
Tommy Mullins was married to his forever sweetheart, Lucille, since June 6, 1959. Tommy graduated from Donelson High School in 1957. He played on the football team as a tackle and he was on the track team. He worked in the printing industry at E.T. Lowe in Nashville, at the Rock Hill Herald in Rock Hill, South Carolina, and at United Methodist Publishing House in Nashville. He retired in 2000. Tommy loved to travel, a trait he inherited from his father Frank Mullins, who had been a hobo riding the trains during the Depression. Tommy and Lucille traveled to 42 states and to Canada. They loved going to North Myrtle Beach and instilled that love of the beach in all of their descendants. He loved music and led congregational singing at Vine Church of Christ for over 50 years. Tommy enjoyed woodworking and designed walking canes that looked like handsaws. Tommy never met a stranger. He would help anyone and would drive many elderly people to church. Tommy loved being with his family most. He was blessed with 2 daughters, 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren who lovingly called him Gramps. He will be missed by many.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, December 10, 2023 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Randy Ward and Charles Eaton officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Matthew Fleming, Roman Fleming, Trey Walker, Frank Mullins, Rick Mullins, Curtis Lane, Tommy Morgan, and Russell Lane. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Brothers and Sisters of Christ at Vine Church of Christ and members of the Donelson High School Class of 1957.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Church of Christ Disaster Relief, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, and Ronald McDonald House. Visitation will be 3 – 7 p.m. Saturday and 12 – 1 p.m. Sunday at Bond Memorial Chapel.

Garvin, Houston Odis, age 85, of Mt. Juliet, TN died December 10, 2023. Houston was born in Gladeville, TN and was the son of the late, Otis Taylor Garvin and Mary Ross Garvin. He was a longtime member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Houston was employed by T.W. Frierson Company for over 30 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and traveling. Houston was also preceded in death by his brother, Paul A. Garvin and his sister, Ida Mae Garvin Gordon.

Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Smyrna, TN. Active pallbearers will be Stephen Garvin, Daniel Jones, Jim Orange, Kevin Garvin, Paul Garvin, Jerry Luna, Michael Keene and Gabe Sanchez. Honorary pallbearers will be Ernie Taylor, Winston Hickman, Wayne Jones, Harry Jackson, Michael Massey and Candy Mallory.
The family wished to extend their deepest gratitude to Houston’s caretaker, Janet Brazle and her children, Maddie, Claire and Wesley. In addition, the family also wishes to thank the staff of 1 West at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital, the staff of Lebanon Center for Rehabilitation and Healing, Dr. Kehinde, Dr. Cane and Dr. Joey Price.

Tucciarone, Chris “Pop”, age 73, of Mt. Juliet, TN died December 11, 2023. Chris was born in The Bronx, NY and was the son of the late, Christopher and Elizabeth Tucciarone. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Rizzo. Chris was a veteran of the United States Air Force where he served in Vietnam. He was an avid sports fan and a huge Nashville Predators fan. Chris was a loving husband, amazing father, and a fantastic “Pop” to his grandchildren.

Tipton, TayLa Ann, age 34, of Nashville, TN died unexpectedly December 10, 2023. TayLa was born in Paris, TX but grew up in Hugo, OK. She was a 2007 graduate of Fort Towson High School. After graduation, she attended college on a softball scholarship. TayLa was employed by Evicore. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, camping and kayaking. TayLa was a music lover, guitar player and singer. She enjoyed going to various music festivals.

Pitmon, Jack Roland, age 67, of Ashland City, TN died December 22, 2023. Jack was born in Nashville, TN and was the son of the late, Herbert Roland Pitmon and Elizabeth Lucille Lassiter Colloca. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Jack embarked on a lifelong journey as a journeyman carpenter, licensed plumber and a jack of all trades. He also had a passion for vintage automobiles, motorcycles and fishing.

Allen, Betty Jean Hilton, age 94, of Old Hickory, TN died December 20, 2023. Betty was born in Hamilton, Ohio and was the daughter of the late, John H. Hilton and Marie Wilson Hilton. She found her calling as a hairdresser. Beyond the salon, Betty was a bridge enthusiast, enjoying the mental challenge as well as the comradery it provided. She also enjoyed traveling and square dancing. Betty was also preceded in death by her husband, Iven Allen and her brother, Robert Hilton.

He was a former National Guardsman, Volunteer Fireman with the Potter, NY Fire Department and former Highway Superintendent for the Town of Potter, NY. Colucci, Angela Krystal, age 38, of Old Hickory, TN died December 24, 2023. Angela was born in Torrington, CT. She was an LPN who loved taking care of her elderly patients. Angela’s hobby was painting. She also enjoyed music and gardening and was a collector of gnomes and mushrooms. Angela had a personality that could brighten any room. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Joseph Colucci and Peter Holmgren; uncles, Glen Holmgren and Kristofer Holmgren and aunt, Laura Zaharek.

Knox, Donald Henry, age 85, of Mt. Juliet, TN died December 26, 2023. Donald was born in Litchfield, CT and was one of eight children. He was a faithful member of Abundant Life Church. Donald was retired from the U.S. Air Force at the rank of Technical Sergeant. He was extremely outgoing and adored socializing and going out. As a matter of fact, the staff of the N. Mt. Juliet Road Publix treated him like family. In his younger years, Donald was an athlete. He enjoyed playing softball and football.
