Damron, Virginia Mae “Jennie” , age 79, of Nashville, TN, died August 4, 2020. Jennie was born in Grey Eagle, West Virginia on June 14, 1941. She was the youngest of seven children. Jennie graduated from Fort Gay High School in 1959 and married shortly thereafter. Following her husband’s discharge from military service, the couple moved to Almont, MI, where they raised their three daughters. Jennie, however, maintained lifelong friendships with those whom she grew up with in Fort Gay, WV. She retired from Ford Motor Company. Jennie was the daughter of the late, Thomas B. and Goldie Sammons Thompson. She was also preceded in death by her former husband, Eddie Damron; sisters, Dorothy and Eva and brothers, Robert and Dan.

She is survived by:

Gina (Denny) Wycinski of Hudson, FL and

Pamela Sanborn of San Diego, CA

Grandchildren – Brent Wycinski of Hudson, FL,

Chelsea (Tom Chiodo) Wycinski of Davenport, FL,

Jake Sanborn of San Diego, CA,

Jesse Sanborn of Santa Cruz, CA,

Samantha Ballard of Spring Hill, TN and

Joe Ballard of Tallahassee, FL

Brothers – Jack Thompson of Georgetown, KY and

Lee Thompson of Decatur, Ga

A virtual funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens.
