Steve Tekulve, age 82, passed away on Wednesday June 24, 2026, in Destin, Florida. Steve was born on September 15, 1943 in Fort Knox, Kentucky to the late Frank Tekulve and Joan Siefert Tekulve. He grew up as an “Army brat” who lived all over the world until the 1960’s when his family settled in Nashville. Since they frequently moved, once he settled in Middle Tennessee, he planted his roots and stayed for 50+ years. He proudly served in the Tennessee National Guard as a medic. In September of 1967, Steve married the love of his life, Patricia Jean Wilson. They had their only child, Tracey Tekulve before settling in Wilson County a few years later. He worked in the trucking industry most of his life and was a devoted member of the Teamster local 480. He was also a member of the American Legion in Inglewood. He touched the lives of many young people by serving as football and softball coach, a love he passed down to his daughter, Tracey.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Joan Siefert Tekulve; his beloved wife, Patricia Tekulve; and his brother and best friend, Gregory Tekulve.
