Sherri Paulette Gentry

Gentry, Sherri Paulette , age 69, of Mt. Juliet, TN died suddenly April 8, 2023. Sherri was born in Nashville, TN and was the daughter of the late, Morris Franklin Gentry and Edna Earle Hughes Gentry. She was a member of Unity Church of Music City and Nashville in Harmony. She graduated from Trevecca Nazarene College with a Bachelor’s Degree. She was retired from the State of Tennessee. Sherri held a 4th degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and was the former owner of Mid-American Tae Kwon Do in Lebanon, TN. She loved nature, kayaking, fishing and animals, especially her Chocolate Lab, Lyric. In addition to her parents, Sherri was preceded in death by her sister, Anne Gentry Schurman.

She is survived by:

Brother – Bill (Linda) Gentry

Nieces and nephew – Ginger Berger, Vicki Theile, Marci Schurman, Sherri Godsby and

Paul “Gordy” Schurman

Her friends and support community are too numerous to mention, specifically, but of special consideration the family acknowledges and appreciates the love of Lisa Lewis, Carolyn Bauer and Linda Wanamaker.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted 1:00 PM, Saturday May 6th at Unity of Nashville, 5125 Franklin Pike, Nashville, TN 37220.  The family and friends will receive friends 1 hour before the service.  Additionally, a short reception will follow the service in the fellowship hall.

Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to Unity Church of Music City or Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary.
