Roger Dale Parsons

Roger Dale Parsons, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026, after a courageous battle with ALS. Born on September 29, 1961, in Knoxville, Tennessee, to Clifford and Pearl Parsons, he grew up surrounded by love with his ten siblings.

Roger's greatest joy was his family. He met his soulmate, Beth, at Dupont High School, and they married in 1983, sharing 43 wonderful years together filled with laughter and love. The couple raised two beautiful daughters who were the pride of his life. Known as a jack of all trades, Roger was a partner in the family business, Donelson A/C, which was started by his father. His skills stretched far beyond, delving into contracting, real estate appraisal, and commercial lighting, just to name a few. An incredible handyman and a true “Mr. Fix It,” Roger could build and repair anything, from computers to gazebos and everything in between. He was generous with his time and skills, assisting family, friends, and neighbors with projects and repairs.

He had a big heart for all animals, his house was host to birds, dogs, fish, and more, and he shared his love for nature with his family. His hobbies included tinkering with electronics, drones, and robots, photography and videography, building, and he always enjoyed a swim day, bonfire, or game night. A family man at heart, Roger had a special gift for connecting with children, always goofing around and bringing smiles wherever he went. The joy of his recent years was getting to know and play with his granddaughter.

Roger’s love for the Lord guided his life. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his kindness, creativity, and unwavering love for his family and friends.

Brothers - Paul Nathan Parsons (Suzan), Johnny Arthur Parsons, Kenneth Robert Parsons, Norman Thomas Parsons

Grandchildren - Penelope Rose Hartley

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Ray Parsons & Pearl Christine Hale Parsons, and his brothers Danny Ulys Parsons, David Ray Parsons, and Tracy Andrew Parsons.

A graveside service in honor of Roger will be held on Monday, March 30, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Officiant is John Welcome. Pallbearers are Kenneth Parsons, Jeremy Parsons, Tosh Manos, Jeff Lee, Dylan Lee, Logan Hartley, Mike Walter, and Darrell Hueghan. Internment will follow.
