Robert M. Stidham, 83, of Mt. Juliet, formerly of Church Hill, TN, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026. Robert was a devoted husband, father, brother-in-law, and uncle, leaving behind a legacy of love and guidance.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, John C. Stidham, and brother John Douglas Stidham. He is survived by his loving wife, Lynn Stidham, his daughter, Jennifer (Michael) Stidham Honeycutt, his sister-in-law, Wanda Stidham, and his nephews, John D. (Laura) Stidham, Richard (Penny) Stidham, and Scott Stidham.
A dedicated member of Mt. Juliet First Baptist Church, he actively participated in the Sunday school class led by Dr. Billy Ross. Prior to relocating to Mt. Juliet, Robert was a member of First Baptist Church Hill, where he served as chairman of the personnel committee. Robert spent 34 years working at Eastman Chemical Company, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment.
His contributions extended beyond his career; he served as a member of the Tennessee Textbook Commission, a member of the Tennessee Motor Vehicle Commission, as chairman of the Hawkins County School Board, and as vice mayor of Church Hill, TN. Additionally, Robert was a valued member of the Planning Commission for 30 years, showcasing his dedication to his community. Beyond his professional life, Robert was an avid golfer who eagerly embraced every opportunity to hit the fairways.
Robert will be remembered for his kindness, leadership, and unwavering support for his family and community. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of Robert's life will be held at 3:00 P.M on Friday, February 6, 2026, at Bond Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M until 3:00 P.M. Interment will be held at a later date in Church Hill, TN.
