Robert Thomas Liddle, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2026, a fitting tribute to his playful spirit and love for humor. Born on October 29, 1938, in Hermitage, TN, to David and Helen M. Dysinger Liddle, Robert lived a life full of laughter and love.
A graduate of Donelson High School, where he played football throughout his high school career, after graduation went on to work for Liddle Brothers Plastering Co.for 42 years as a plasterer. He had many hobbies, including woodworking and painting. Among his many accomplishments, he built a cabin in the woods with one of his best friends. A homebody at heart, Robert enjoyed his time with his farm animals and in his garden, finding peace and joy in simple pleasures. His faith was an important part of his life. He was saved as a boy and later rededicated his life, becoming a member of Gladeville Church. Known as a jokester, Robert loved to share a good laugh and brighten the days of those around him. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but his spirit will live on in the memories and smiles he created throughout his life.

Children - Zana (Darrell) Bennett and Robert Thomas Liddle Jr. (Sue)
Step-Son - Larry Davis
Grandchildren - Amanda (Tony) Schroder, Shane (Jerri) Walker, Gregg (Delrina) Liddle, Calandra (Marcus) Ewin
Great-Grandchildren - Mackensie Schroder, Lilly Walker, Kingston Walker, Robbie Liddle, Lee Liddle, Charlie Liddle, Greyson Ewin, Jasmine Ewin, and step-grandchild Madlyn Davis
He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David B. Liddle and Helen M. Dysinger; and his siblings Leonard David Liddle, Leona Payne, Margaret Collier, and Dorothy Gleaves.
A memorial service to celebrate Robert's life will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026 at The Glade Church officiated by Robert post. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. prior to the service.
