Richard Steuart Pharris

P harris, Richard Steuart , age 67, of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle passed away peacefully on November 7, 2024.  Richard was born in Anchorage, Alaska to the late Richard and Shirley Pharris. A devoted Christian, Richard’s life was marked by his deep love for his family and his unwavering faith. He retired from the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency as an H.R. Director. In his spare time, he enjoyed finding and collecting seashells and interesting rocks as well as sharing his love of all things Disney with his family and friends. Richard’s warm heart, sense of adventure, and steadfast love will be deeply missed by all who know him.

He is survived by:

Wife of 41 years – Vanissa Mechelle Pharris

Daughter – Katherine (Craig) Sonneveld

Brother – Larry (Dawn) Pharris

Sister – Carol (Jim) Eads

Grandchild – Asher McDonald

Nieces – Sarah (Brian) Winfree and Rebecca (Brandon) Carr

Nephews – Garrett (Jennifer) Eads and James Pharris

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. til 3:00 p.m. at Bond Memorial Chapel.
