Rebecca “Becky” Anne Sawyer, age 51, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2025.
Becky didn’t know a stranger. She was kind, generous, and loved someone the minute she met them. She was always checking in on her friends and family and had a smile as big as her heart. She always wanted to help others and there was no favor too big or too small. Becky was recently celebrated for completing her Master’s degree from Arizona State University, and worked as a Paralegal in Franklin, TN, where everyone she worked with adored her and praised her for the work she did, always going above and beyond like she did for everyone she cared for. She married the love of her life Michael Sawyer on October 11th of this year and always decorated for Christmas, her favorite holiday, as soon as Halloween was over. She and Mike loved to play with their cat Josi and go shopping and hang out with their friends.
Her happiest moments were spending time with everyone she loved, celebrating birthdays and holidays, watching Michigan football or Preds hockey, sending countless funny reels on Facebook or Instagram to whoever she thought of when she watched them, and listening to Taylor Swift.
Becky is survived by her husband Michael Sawyer, son Robert Cayler, II, daughter Stefani Gutierrez, grandchildren Samuel & Deborah Sundberg, bestie sister Jessica Diedtrich, niece, Brynleigh and mother Trudy Miller. She was preceded in death by her father Reginald Miller.
Becky’s heart and beautiful spirit will live on through everyone who loved her. Just as it’s written in her favorite song “Long Live”:“Long live the walls we crashed through; I had the time of my life with you.Long live, all the mountains we moved, I had the time of my life fighting dragons with you. Long live all the magic we made…”
A Celebration of Life service for Rebecca Sawyer will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025 at Friendship Community Church from 12-1pm. Visitation will start at 10am ahead of the service at Friendship Community Church.
