Owen Carver Gleaves

Gleaves, Owen Carver , age 85, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died Saturday, February 8, 2025. Owen was born in Nashville, TN and was the son of the late, Claude and Delma Fuqua Gleaves. He served his country in the U.S. Army and later worked in management for the Department of Transportation for the State of Tennessee. Owen was a member of the Big Brothers of Mt. Juliet and spent many hours providing toys and food for the families in need through the Mothers Toy Store and the Christmas Food Box Distribution. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking and even built the home he lived in. In addition to his parents, Owen was also preceded in death by his sister, Martha Gleaves and Fran Nichols.

He is survived by:

Wife of 56 years – Linda Tisdale Gleaves

Brother – Richard Gleaves

Sister – Sue Gleaves

Many nieces and nephews

Graveside services, with military honors, will be conducted 12 noon, Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at P.M. Carver, Fuqua, Gleaves Cemetery with Estel Hagewood officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
