Murray Donald Eakes

Eakes, Murray Donald “Donnie” , age 85, of Lebanon, TN died December 29, 2022.  Donnie was born in Suggs Creek, TN and was the son of the late, Murray Wilson Eakes and Robbie May Eakes.

He was a member of Victory Baptist Church. Donnie was a 1955 graduate of Mt. Juliet High School where he was the captain of the football team. He served in the Air National Guard and retired from Ford Glass Plant with 45 years of service. Donnie was a horse trainer and he enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing. He loved sports especially UT Vols and Titans football.

Wife of 67 years – Linda McCorkle Eakes

Children – Mark (Robin) Eakes, Greg Eakes and Melinda (Kenneth) Mace

5 Grandchildren and 4 Great-grandchildren

Granddog – Harley

Caregiver – Debbie Smith

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2023 at Victory Baptist Church, 1777 Tate Lane, Mt. Juliet, TN with Rev. Chuck Groover officiating.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Friday at the church.
