Mary Edith Barnes Jones

Jones, Mary Edith Barnes , age 74, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died June 18, 2019.

Mrs. Jones was a member of Mt. Juliet Church of Christ. She kept children in her home for over 40 years. Mrs. Jones enjoyed camping, sewing, scrap booking , shopping, flower gardening and watching Hallmark movies and HGTV. She also enjoyed eating out with her church friends and her grandchildren. Mrs. Jones was the daughter of the late, Sherman D. and Rosie Ellie Loftis Barnes. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Estel Barnes, Elmer Barnes and Anna Dell Carmack.

She is survived by:

Husband of 57 years – Aaron Jones

Daughters – Tammy (Jeff) Haskins and Sandra (Jay) Keopf

Sister – Estelene Netherton

Grandchildren – Joshua (Callie) Haskins, Lucas Haskins, Jacob Haskins,

Mikayla Keopf, Jameson Keopf, Michael Keopf and

Karina Keopf

Great-grandchildren – Jackson Haskins and one due in November 2019

Funeral services will be conducted 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Mt. Juliet Church of Christ, 1940 N. Mt. Juliet Road, Mt. Juliet, TN. Entombment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Joshua Haskins, Lucas Haskins, Jacob Haskins, Jameson Keopf, Michael Keopf, John Dedman and Michael Dorris. Honorary pallbearers will be all former Mrs. Mary’s kids.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Fund, 410 Allied Drive, Nashville, TN 37211 or to Happy Haven Children’s Home, 2311 Wakefield Drive, Cookeville, TN 38501.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday and 12-1:30 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Juliet Church of Christ.
