Lauren Elizabeth “Cox” Cater, age 27, passed away on May 15, 2026. A loving wife, devoted mother, cherished sister, and dear friend, she will be deeply missed by everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Raised in a large family in Mt. Juliet, Lauren was homeschooled and was a graduate of New Life Academy, which allowed her to cultivate her passions. She had a love of dance and was a former member of Resha's School of Dance and the Cumberland University Dance Team. She also had a curiosity about space and the stars. With aspirations of becoming a psychology professor, she sought truth, redemption, and understanding throughout her life. Alongside her hobbies and aspirations, Lauren found joy in serving others with a warm smile during her time at Chick-fil-A.
At 22, Lauren embraced motherhood with open arms, welcoming her beloved son, Grayson, into the world. Her love for him knew no bounds, and she continuously strove to be the best version of herself for him. A fighter at heart, she faced many challenges but remained bold and courageous, embodying compassion and thoughtfulness in all her endeavors. Lauren’s journey was one of personal growth, as she worked diligently on her emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being.
Though her time with us was too short, Lauren’s spirit and dedication to those she loved will remain in our hearts forever.
