Larry Stewart

Stewart, Larry , age 72, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died Wednesday, February 19, 2025. Larry was born in Nashville, TN and was the son of the late, Leo Stewart and Laura Goldie Gibson Stewart. A dedicated public servant, he proudly served as a firefighter with Metro Nashville Fire Department until his retirement in 2013. Larry’s commitment to helping others continued as he worked at Summit Medical Center in the Emergency Department. He was an avid golfer and fisherman. Larry’s love for the outdoors was only surpassed by the love for his family, who were the heart of his world. In addition to his parents, Larry was also preceded in death by his children, Ashley Stewart and Dustin Stewart and 8 siblings.

He is survived by:

Wife of 54 years – Lesa Jernigan Stewart

Children – Larry Shannon (Kathryn) Stewart and Leigh G. Stewart

Brother-in-law – Dr. Gary Leigh

Grandchildren – Katelyn, Ashton and Hannah

Bonus grandchildren – Henry and Audrey

At Larry’s request, he will be cremated, and no services are planned.
