Kathy Jane Phillips Murphy

Murphy, Kathy Jane Phillips , age 66, of Lafayette, TN was a loving wife and mother died peacefully surrounded by family on March 11, 2023, after a long battle with cancer. She was born August 5, 1956 to the late, Rev. M.G Phillips and Susie Walker Phillips of Watertown, Tennessee. Although most of her life was spent in Tennessee, they did move around a lot because her father was a pastor.   Kathy married Roger Dale Murphy on February 24, 1973.  She worked for Lee Jean Company, Bridgestone, and as a security guard.  Her greatest loves were her grandchildren and Sonic (the dog).   Kathy loved to sing with her brother and spend many days and nights listening to her dad preach. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Dale Murphy.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory:

Sons – Chris Murphy (Jennifer) of Westmoreland, TN and Troy Murphy (Catherine) of Spring Hill, TN

Daughter – Christina Murphy Leone (Matt) of Lafayette, TN.

Brother – Larry Phillips of Watertown, TN.

Grandchildren – Brayden Murphy (Taylor), Aubrey Murphy, Austin Murphy, Zachary Murphy, Brooke Murphy,

and Lana Leone

Nephews – Wayne Phillips (Donna) and Lane Phillips both of Watertown, TN
