John Mcfarland Rodman

Rodman, Jr., John McFarland , age 87, of Lebanon, TN, passed away at home August 26, 2024. John was born January 10, 1937 in Louisville, KY and was the son of the late, John McFarland Rodman and Dorothy Snider Rodman. He was a Seabee serving from 1956-1960 in the U.S. Navy. Big John woke up happy and glad to be alive every day of his life. The five most important things to John were his wife, family, his next meal, the next cup of coffee and buying and selling things.

John is survived by:

Wife of 62 years – Helen Hollis Rodman

Sons and Daughters-in-laws – John M. and Renee Rodman, III and Rodman F. and Lori Rodman

Grandchildren – Chelsea Renee Rodman, John M. and Logan Rodman, IV and

Thomas Bradley Rodman

Great-grandchildren – Chelsea Ann Rodman and John Bill Rodman

Family and friends will gather to Celebrate the Life of John from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Bond Memorial Chapel.

The family requests no flowers, please. However, you may make a donation in memory of John to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.
