John Michael Esslinger

Esslinger, John Michael , age 68, of Lebanon, TN died November 29, 2022. John was born in Chattanooga, TN and was the son of the late, Albert Roy Esslinger and Betty East Esslinger. He was a teacher in the Wilson County School System for 23 years. John taught 5th grade at West Elementary and Gladeville Elementary. He was an avid history buff. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Lynda Dolbi.

He is survived by:

Wife of 33 years – Jane Esslinger

Children – Abby (Chad) Flatt and Daniel (Misti) Esslinger

Grandchildren – Everleigh Flatt, Anzleigh Flatt and Bella Esslinger

Funeral services will be conducted 12 noon Friday, December 2, 2022 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Paul Casner and Kyle Clifton officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Ryan Pendergrass, Patric Yankura, Rodney Cathey, Chad Riggans, Matthew Bates and Brett Bochette.

Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
