Joan Marie Gunter

Gunter, Joan Marie , age 84, of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on November 1, 2024.  Joan was born in Philipsburg, PA and was the daughter of the late, George and Mary Humenay. She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Community, the KCLA, the Ladies of Charity, and was retired from Northern Telecom. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them as well as her many friends. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William George “Pops” Gunter, and her brothers, Francis Humenay and George Humenay.

She is survived by:

Son – Billy (Donna) Gunter

Daughter – Terri (Todd) King

Brothers – Thomas (Pam) Humenay and Vincent (Gloria) Humenay

Sisters – Mirella (Ronald) Berger and Regina (Bill) Mansell

Grandchildren – Jessica (Marc) Seng, Ashley King, Eric Gunter, and Emily (Brett) Welch

Great Grandchildren – Braxton King, Ayden King, and Natalie Seng

Numerous nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at St. Stephen Catholic Community, 14544 Lebanon Rd., Old Hickory, TN. Visitation will be at the church 5-7 Tuesday ending with a Rosary at 7 p.m. and one hour prior to service time Wednesday.

Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to St. Stephen Catholic Community or the Ladies of Charity.
