Joan Claire Russ Allman

Allman, Joan Claire Russ, age 85 of Lebanon, TN, and formerly of Massillon, OH, Tempe, AZ and Ashland, OH, passed away in her home on May 31, 2026. Born in Massillon, OH, on June 22, 1940, Joan was the daughter of the late, Walter J. Russ and Doris Flanagan Russ Hintz. Joan was a Travel Agent with Paradise Travel in Phoenix, Arizona before retiring. Her hobbies included gardening, sewing, home projects, bird watching, cooking, spending time with her devoted canine companion, Marley, and traveling with her family. Joan was known as a strong, kind-hearted woman that fought her battle with cancer with quiet grace and dignity. Joan was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Edward J. Allman Jr; daughters, Susan Allman Goodrich and Deborah Allman; son, Stephen Allman; grandson, Christopher Waller

She is survived by:

Daughter – Lisa (Eddie) Kirkus of Lebanon, TN

Sisters – Barb (Carl) Renneker, Nancy (Keith) Ames, Ginny (Gene Kulp) Russo

Sister-in-Law - Carol (Robert) Allman

Son-in-Law - Tim (Sue) Goodrich

Grandchildren – Samantha Waller, Timothy Goodrich, Jennifer (Michael) Knueven, and January (Jim) Beeler

13 Great-grandchildren, 3 Great-great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other beloved family members and friends.

Per her wishes, she will be cremated with a Celebration of Life service.
