Jerry Edward Flatt

Flatt, Coach Jerry Edward , age 86, of Lebanon, TN died November 18, 2023. Jerry was born in Nashville, TN and was the son of the late, Andy and Claire Flatt. He was a beloved and well respected teacher and coach. Coach Flatt served as the offensive coordinator for the Austin Peay State University Football team before moving to Mt.Juliet, where he coached football and baseball at Mt. Juliet High School. He was also a member of Cook’s United Methodist Church.

He is survived by:

Wife – Donna Kemp Flatt

Sons – Chuck (Tammy) Flatt, Eddie (Donna Jo) Flatt and Tommy (Jill) Flatt

Grandchildren – Dylan Flatt, Abigail Flatt, Ethan Johnson, Erin Johnson, John Goodall,

Hailey Stewart and Brett Arnold.

Brother – Howell (Kay) Flatt

Sister – Faye Cole

Funeral services will be conducted 12 p.m. Monday, November 27, 2023 at Bond Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Family and Friends will serve as Pallbearers. Former teammates, players and coaches will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Wilson County Fellowship of Christian Athletes, 490 Industrial Dr. Mt. Juliet, TN 37122.
