Jay E. Head

Jay E. Head, Sr., of Mount Juliet, Tennessee, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home surrounded by his family on June 22, 2026.

Jay was born on February 26, 1940, in Nashville, TN. Jay proudly served in the Marine Reserves and spent 30 years employed with Baird-Ward Printing Company. Following his retirement, he continued serving the community through various positions with the Wilson County School System.

Jay was preceded in death by his parents, his infant son, Joseph, and granddaughter, Alexandra Hudgens.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Peggy Head; son, Jay E. Head, Jr.; daughters, Patti Lancette (Don) and Amy Head. Many grandchildren - Rachel Meredith (Justin), Tyler Forkum (Lindsey), Joey Forkum (Kirstien), Kelsie Pitcock (Charlie), Victoria Shaw (Jason), Samantha Sharber (Gage), Brooke Anderson, and Aubree Beth Anderson; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
