Janyce Lynne Coy

Coy, Janyce “Jan” Lynne , age 79, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died October 16, 2024. Janyce was born in Kansas City, Missouri and was the daughter of the late, James William Coy and Roma Jean Elliot Coy. She was a woman of strong faith, and a loving mother and grandmother. Her family was truly the center of a wonderful life, well lived.

Jan spent many years living in Maryland, where she started and ran a successful staffing company in Washington, DC. She retired in 2002 and relocated to Tennessee in 2010. Jan traveled the world with her sister, Sudy. She had a deep affection for her animals, and beauty of nature. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and tending to her gardens at home. She was a talented artist, and painter. Her favorite subjects to paint where those most dear to her, her family.

Janyce is survived by:

Children – Michal (Patricia) Steplowski and Betsy Coy

Sister – Sudy Coy

Grandchildren – Cagney Donley-Coy, John Steplowski, Reed Steplowski and Zane Steplowski

Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m., Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Lebanon, TN.
