James Ligon Gregory

Gregory, James Ligon , age 85, of Mt. Juliet, TN died January 15, 2023. Jim was born in Giles County, TN and was the son of the late, Ligon Green Gregory and Julia Burgess Gregory. He was a member of Mt. Juliet Church of Christ. Jim served in the U.S. Air Force and retired as a Master Sergeant. He then began his career in Flight Service with Federal Aviation. Jim was a huge supporter of the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort and drove for them for many years after his retirement.

He is survived by:

Wife of 65 years – Margaret Gregory

Children – Tommy (Sally) Gregory and Pam (Lonnie) Pittman

Sister – Betty Sue Butler

Grandchildren – Jason Pittman and Melanie Pittman

Great-grandchildren – Thomas Pittman, Maggie Pittman and James Pittman

Several nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be conducted 12 noon Monday, January 23, 2023 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Bro Craig Evans officiating. Interment with full military honors will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.
