James Gilson Crosby

Crosby, James Gilson , age 83, of Mt. Juliet, TN and formerly of Erie, PA died September 8, 2022. Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a firefighter with the Erie Fire Department from 1973-1998 and retired with 25 years of service. Jim enjoyed spending time with the Lord, either by watching services at Grace Baptist Church and doing his morning Bible study. He enjoyed woodworking. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Gilson Blood and Edna Crosby and his sister and brother-in-law, Patricia Blood Godfrey and Donald Godfrey.

He is survived by:

Wife of 52 years – Janet M. Moorhead Crosby

Sons – Jason (Christie) Crosby and Jeff Crosby

Grandchildren – Spc. Ryan Crosby, Andrew Crosby, Myles Crosby and Lawson Crosby

Many nieces and nephews

Visitation will be from 2-4 with a Celebration of Life service beginning at 4 on Monday, September 12, 2022 at Grace Baptist Church, 201 Belinda Parkway, Mt. Juliet, TN with Pastor Alan Herd and Jason Crosby officiating.
