Harold Wayne Weist

Weist, Harold Wayne , age 88, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died April 7, 2024.  Harold was born in Findlay, OH and was the son of the late Paul and Helen Weist. He retired from the United States Marine Corps. after 30 years of service. After his retirement, he proudly served as a district commander for the VFW and as a commander for the Vietnam Veterans Association. He was also a self-published author, writing and publishing 4 books.  Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Weist, grandson, Corey Tonge, and brother Paul Weist, Jr.

He is survived by:

Son – Dustin Weist

Daughter – Leilani (Roshan Beekhoo) Weist

Step-daughter – Denise Payne

Grandsons – Richard Kanagie, Raymond Weist, Daniel Tonge, Michael Tonge, and Jeremy Tonge

Great Grandchildren – Madison Kanagie and Corey Kanagie

Brother – Gene Weist

Nephews – Roger Weist and Dave Weist

Niece – Cindy Weist Blough

A visitation will be conducted from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Bond Memorial Chapel with Military Honors taking place at 1:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
