Frank Brantley

June 18, 2025 — December 13, 2022

Brantley, Frank , age 92, passed away December 13, 2022. A native of Mississippi, Frank was able to travel the world, first while serving in the Army and later for leisure with his beloved wife, Patricia “Pat”. Their travels included several mission trips to Honduras where he helped construct a school and church. Frank’s career was devoted to the Mississippi Highway Department from which he retired. Frank was known by all he encountered as warm, friendly, giving, and always ready to share a smile, a story, and a laugh. He and his late wife Pat loved people. They easily made friends wherever they went and were greatly appreciated for the kindness they extended to neighbors, church members, extended family, and staff and residents at their home of the last several years, McKendree Village. Frank could always be counted on to gently tease his friends about this or that. Prior to moving to Tennessee, Frank and Pat spent many joyful years of their retirement n Maggie Valley, North Carolina, a place they always treasured for its beauty and its people. There, Frank used his skills to build his own home and renovate several others. He also single handedly collected and repaired hundreds of bicycles that were donated to school children identified by their teachers as being in need. In more recent years he enjoyed wood working projects and participating in outings at McKendree. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, several siblings, and his wife of 65 years who passed in 2020.

He is survived by many extended family members, including his nephew, Kenneth (Judy) Anderson of Mississippi; brother-in-law, James (Cynthia) Miles of Michigan, and cousins-in- law, Sylvia Russell of North Carolina and her daughter, Kim Russell (Scott) McFadden of Tennessee.

Graveside services with military honors will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.

Arrangements by Bond Memorial Chapel, N. Mt. Juliet Road and Weston Drive, Mt. Juliet, TN. (615) 773-2663. www.bondmemorial.com
