Frances Gleaves Nichols

Nichols, Frances Gleaves , age 86, of Lebanon, TN, died April 2, 2024.  Fran was born in Nashville, TN and was the daughter of the late, Claude and Delma Gleaves. She was a 1956 graduate of Donelson High School. Upon graduation, Fran earned a BS degree from Memphis State University and the MRE degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. She also completed advanced studies at the University of Alaska. Fran was retired from Federal Civil Service as a GS-9/7. In this position she was the Director of Religious Education for three Army Posts and consultant for two Air Force Bases in Alaska. Frances was also preceded in death by her husband, James R. Nichols and sister, Martha Gleaves.

She is survived by:

Siblings – Richard (Ruby) Gleaves, Owen (Linda) Gleaves and Sue Buttrey

Many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews

A graveside service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Carver Fuqua Gleaves Cemetery.
