Thomas, Elsie Bell Copelin Dixon , age 94, of Carthage, TN, died November 1, 2018 at Mt. Juliet Healthcare. Mrs. Thomas was a member of Gladeville United Methodist Church. She was a Riveter during WWII and was retired from DuPont. Along with her husband, she owned and operated Ray’s Market in Carthage for many years. Mrs. Thomas was the daughter of the late, Alfred L. and Charity Hewgley Copelin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dewey “Dude” Dixon; son, Jimmy Dixon; siblings, Raymond Copelin and Mary Dean Meeks; sons-in-law – Tommy Martin and Ricky Nichols and infant great-grandchild, Ryland Truett Carman.
She is survived by:

Daughters – Linda (Jimmy) Tate, Peggy (Bobby) Gentry and Helen Nichols
Daughter-in-law – Sonja (Rick) Robinson

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brad Holliman officiating.
Interment at Caraway Cemetery will be private.
