Dorothy Ann Clendening Greene

Greene, Dorothy Ann Clendening , age 84, of Mt. Juliet, TN, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 30, 2019.  Mrs. Greene was born February 1, 1935 to the late, Oscar Tibbs and Myrtle Lee Conyer Clendening. She was a founding member of Victory Baptist Church and a member of the Denton/Oliver Sunday School Class. Mrs. Greene grew up on Long Hollow Pike and graduated from Hendersonville High School, where she was voted Most Studious. She retired from WKRN – Channel 2 and then spent her time doing what she loved, baking for her loving husband and others.

She is survived by:

Husband of 64 years – Bobby G. Greene

Daughters – Pam Greene of Bartlett, TN and

Sandy Greene, (Dave) Dewald of Mt. Juliet, TN

Grandson – Samuel Joseph Dewald of Mt. Juliet, TN

Brother – Leland (Peggy) Clendening of Gardendale, AL

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, August 2, 2019 at Victory Baptist Church, 1777 Tate Lane, Mt. Juliet, TN with Rev. James Hambrick officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Randy Barnes, Ron Adam, Billy Lee Hunnicutt, Dave Dewald, Ken Wilson and Ken Kloba. Honorary pallbearer will be Samuel Joseph Dewald.

The family wishes to thank the many wonderful caregivers that Mrs. Greene has had over the past four years, especially, Denise Hambrick and neighbors, Ron and Helen Adam. The family also wishes to thank the wonderful doctors and nurses at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Alive Hospice.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and one hour prior to service Friday at the church.
