Cynthia Lee Kauniste, fondly known as Cindi, passed away on September 8, 2026, at the age of 74. Born in Buffalo, New York, on October 6, 1951, Cindi embraced life with boundless enthusiasm and a generous spirit.
Cindi was passionate about many things, including her love for crafting, She cherished moments spent dancing with her beloved husband, Val, and enjoyed riding his motorcycle, sharing adventures and laughter together. A true connoisseur of life’s simple pleasures, she indulged in a little retail therapy, always on the lookout for treasures. Above all, her family was her greatest joy; their laughter and love filled her heart.
Cindi was preceded in death by her parents, James Roll and Anoninette Faulhaber, and her brother, Jim Roll. She is survived by her devoted husband, Valle Kauniste, and her five children: Paula Vacas (Eddie), Valle Kauniste (Lori), Alesha (Chris) Poole, Kathleen Kauniste, and Suzanne (Stephen) Rawn. Cindi was also a proud grandmother to Lily Vacas, Valle and Konner Kauniste, Olivia and Madison Rawn, and Max Poole, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
In honor of Cindi’s wishes, there will be no services held at this time. Her spirit will continue to live on through the cherished memories she created with all who knew and loved her.
