VanValkenburg, Catherine O ., age100 of Hermitage, TN died January 13, 2024. Cat was born in Nashville, TN and was the daughter of the late, James Adams and Macye Kittrell Whitnel. She loved to bowl and spent many years bowling in a league. Cat also enjoyed camping and traveling, especially to the beach for her Emerald Isles vacations. She also loved playing marbles and card games. Cat was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years. Ronald VanValkenburg; grandchildren, Kerry Dickenson and Jennifer Pettit; great-grandchild, Macye Lynn Hollingsworth and siblings, Robbie Abeyounis and “Tee” Whitnel.

She is survived by:

Children – Brenda Devendorf, Joseph (Kimberly) Hukowicz, William Hukowicz,

Roberta (George) Raymond, Ronna Lynn (Kahle) Vining and

Michael David (Donna L. Stevenson) VanValkenburg

17 Grandchildren, 23 Great-grandchildren and 8 Great-great grandchildren

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Alex Cort officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jack Milliken, Warren Bennett, Jason Milliken, Ali Noghli, Michael VanValkenburg, Ricky Hensley and Glenn Doss.
