Candy Fudge Cayton, born on August 30, 1965, in Nashville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2026. She lived a life defined by hard work, generosity, and an unwavering love for her family.
A proud Nashville Native and graduate of DuPont High School, she spent more than 20 years working in Nashville's printing industry before concluding her career as Procurement Manager at Tennessee Industrial Electronics.
While she took great pride in her professional accomplishments, her greatest joys in life were found outside of work. She was an avid cook who loved sharing her favorite meals with family and friends, passing along not only the recipes, but also the love that went into every dish. Her kitchen was an extension of her heart, and she found happiness in bringing people together through her true southern cooking style.
Generosity was at the very core of who she was. She was the kind of person who gave freely, loved deeply, and always found a way to show up for the people around her. Whether through a thoughtful gesture, a shared meal, or simply being there when someone needed her, she had a way of making others feel cared for and loved.
Above all else, her family was her world. She spent the majority of her free time with her son and grandson, cherishing the moments they shared and the memories they created together. Those relationships brought her immeasurable joy and were among the greatest treasures of her life.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jon and Judy (Smotherman) Fudge
She is survived by:
Children: Austin Cayton (Kayte) and Nikita (Mackenzie) Lewis
Sister: Tonya Fudge
Brother: Jon Fudge Jr.
Grandson: Easton Cayton
Sister-in-law: Dafney Fudge
Nieces & Nephews: Jon Fudge III, Devan Fudge, Ashton Estes, Hardison Phillips, and Penelope Phillips
A celebration of life will be held at a later date, with details to be announced by family.
