Brenda Joyce Smith Reed

Reed, Brenda Joyce Smith , age 79, of Lebanon, TN died March 4, 2023. Brenda was born in Wilson County, TN and was the daughter of the late, Rufus Smith and Lucille Foster Smith. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and diamond painting. Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Vern Shannon Reed; son, Leslie Shannon Reed, Leslie Shannon Reed Jr. and siblings, Roger Dale Smith and Kamala Kiyosha Smith.

She is survived by:

Daughter – Kristen (Ken) Woodward

Siblings – Doris Cowley, Mia Thyalisa (Mark) Estes, Phyllis Clemmons and

Dionyius Lavanta Smith

Grandchildren – Samantha Beasley (Theodore) Barkley, Olivia Peyton Beasley,

Ashley Reed, Tyler Woodward and Josh Woodward

Great-grandchildren- Bryson Bishop, Brenleigh Bishop, Hannah Barkley and

Henry Barkley (expected to be born in April)

Funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Bond Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Wilson County Memorial Gardens.

Flowers accepted or memorials be made to the Gideons International or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The family wished to extend a special thank you to Jim and Sharon Tomlinson for the care they gave to Brenda.
