Betty Lou Bennett Waters, born on April 5, 1943, in Overton County, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025. She dedicated 31 years of her life as a secretary at Donelson View Baptist Church, touching the lives of many in her community.

Betty was not only known for her professional achievements but also for her academic excellence as the valedictorian of her graduating class at Livingston Academy before furthering her education at Belmont University. She was an active member of the DAR Cecelia Bradford Carroll Chapter and the Captain John S. Donelson Chapter UDC.

In her free time, Betty enjoyed gardening, genealogy, and exploring yard sales, bringing joy to those around her with her passions.

She is survived by her son Dan Waters, and his wife Cindy Waters, her sister Dorothy and her husband George Noye, and her nieces and nephews: Kevin Walker, Carmen Dennis, Mary Ann Qualls, and Crystal Bean.

Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband Daniel Waters, her parents Hubert and Avo Bennett, and her brother Herman Bean.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12, at 11:00 am at Bond Memorial Chapel, conducted by bro. Bo Fawbush, with internment to follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at Bond Memorial Chapel in Mt. Juliet, TN.
