Amy E. Snead

Amy Elizabeth Snead, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2025, at the age of 52, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on July 10, 1973, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Amy was a radiant spirit whose dedication to her family and friends was evident in everything she did.

Throughout her life, Amy exemplified resilience and loyalty, always embodying a positive outlook that inspired those around her, creating a nurturing environment where everyone felt welcomed and valued. As an amazing mother, her daughters, Meagan and Morgan, were the center of her world. She worked diligently, demonstrating her strong work ethic in both her personal and professional life, consistently showing up and giving her all.

Amy's journey with cancer began unexpectedly in July 2024, appearing initially as what was thought to be simple stomach issues. From the moment of her diagnosis, she approached her illness with determined courage, displaying a fighting spirit that served as an inspiration to many. Over the next thirteen months, through countless doctor’s appointments, procedures, and chemotherapy treatments, she never lost hope. Amy continued to celebrate life's moments, relishing in experiences such as the UT/Florida football game and the stunning landscapes of St. John, drawing joy even during challenging times.

Amy is survived by her loving wife, Ginger Barrett, who stood by her side every step of the way; her mother and stepfather, Judy and Terry Noffsinger. Her legacy continues through her daughters, Meagan and Morgan Snead. Additionally, she is survived by her siblings, Donnie Snead (Pam), Kristie Snead Thomas (Mike), and Teri Noffsinger, nephews Ethan Thomas and Brett Snead, and niece Haley Snead Fox. She also leaves behind three great-nieces and four great-nephews, further extending her family’s bond of love.

Amy was preceded in death by her father, Donald Tyrone Snead, and her cherished grandparents, Ruth Ellen Colley, William Ray Colley, Benjamin Bryant Snead, and Flossie Cleo Snead.

Though cancer claimed her body, it could not dim the spirit Amy shared with those fortunate enough to know her. Amy’s life serves as a poignant reminder to embrace each day with strength, courage, and love.

A celebration of Amy’s life will be held in the spring, honoring the profound impact she had on the lives of those around her.
