Amy Brothers

Amy E. Brothers, age 55, passed away on August 17, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born on April 27, 1970, in Lima, Ohio to John and Dorothy Leftwich. Amy was proud to call Gladeville, TN home for the last 23 years.

Amy graduated from Upperman High School in 1988 and enjoyed her time working at her parents restaurant, The Bee Hive in Baxter, TN. She dedicated 12 years to the Wilson Co. School System while her boys were in school. Then she transitioned into managing a women’s clothing store where she thrived.

Amy cherished spending time with her family and embarking on adventures with her lifelong friends Tammy, Melissa, and Penny. She found joy in the beach and the mountains. Amy also found love with her devoted companion, Scott. Her greatest joy was spending time with her granddaughters; she truly was the best GiGi ever.

Amy was preceded in death by her parents, John and Dorothy Leftwich and a brother, Wayne Leftwich.

She is survived by:

Sons – Nelson (Colleen) Brothers and Hunter (Alyssa) Brothers

Brother – Mark (Cathy) Leftwich

Grandchildren – Vivianne Brothers, Caroline Brothers, Aspen Brothers, and Eden Brothers who is due in November.

Niece and Nephew – Kristie and Jacob Burgess

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 22,2025 at 10:00 a.m. at The Glade Church, 9000 Stewarts Ferry Pike Mt. Juliet, TN 37122, conducted by Pastor Mark Satterfield and James Flatt. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Cookeville, TN. Pallbearers will be Nelson Brothers, Hunter Brothers, Mark Leftwich, James Flatt, Scott Cargile, Cooper Pittman, Toby Muhler, and Ryan Crum. Visitation will be on Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at The Glade Church and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
