Stewart, Hazel Hackney, age 89, of Lebanon, TN, died June 4, 2018. Mrs. Stewart was a member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Juliet. She was also a member of the Village Women’s Club. Mrs. Stewart was the daughter of the late, Roy Powell and Beulah Mai Edge Hackney. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clois Stewart; Son, Douglas Stewart and sister, Mildred Webb.
She is survived by:

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2017 at Bond Memorial Chapel with David Fallin officiating.

Thompson, Wilma Ray, age 78, died June 5, 2018. Mrs. Thompson was the daughter of the late, William Forrest and Mary Florence Gunner Ray.

Vaughn, Mary Sue Fields, age 88, of Hermitage, TN, died June 9, 2018. Mrs. Vaughn enjoyed sewing and quilting. She was the daughter of the late, James Andrew and Mary Bell Edwards Fields. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Granville Vaughn; son, Charles Gary Vaughn and brothers, James, Thomas, Clyde and Bobby Fields.

West, Jeffery Wayne, age 53, of Brentwood, TN, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 10, 2018. Jeff was the first born child of George Thomas and Shirley Hendrix West. He attended all 12 years of schooling at Trumann, AR and graduated in 1983. Jeff was a member of the ROTC and lettered in football, basketball and track. He accepted the Lord as his Savior at the age of 9 and was baptized and became a member of First Christian Church of Trumann. Jeff loved the Lord and sought to serve and honor Him all of his life. After he and Denice located to Nashville, they joined Grace Bible Fellowship in Mt. Juliet, TN. Jeff was active in planning and building the new church building. Even during his illness, Jeff continued to faithfully attend every Sunday. Jeff worked for Yellow Freight in Memphis and later in Nashville prior to forming his own business, Total Lawn Care, to help family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, George West; son, Jeffery Brett West; paternal grandparents, Avery and Vivian Poff West and maternal grandfather, Carl Hendrix.

Funeral services will be conducted 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Grace Bible Fellowship, 755 N. Greenhill Road, Mt. Juliet, TN with Pastor Mark Mann officiating. Burial will be Friday, June 15, 2018 at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, AR.

Neal, Linda Susan, age 69, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died June 24, 2018. Mrs. Neal was born in Jersey City, NJ and was the daughter of the late, Everett and Harriet Russell Rogers. She had been a resident of Mt. Juliet for more than 37 years and was the original owner of Chicken Real.

Shanks, Lawrence Edward “Larry”, age 91, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died June 28, 2018. Larry was a member of Providence United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict. Larry was the son of the late George and Lilie Vesta Shanks. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lucille; brothers, Don, Harold and Harlan and grandson Andrew Grannis. Larry was a fatherly figure, a sage and a mentor who had unconditional love for family and all those he met. He was a man of generous spirit and a man who lived a life of faith.
