Gray, Nancy Jean, age 74, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died July 1, 2018. Mrs. Gray was a member of Nashville First Church of the Nazarene. She was a Registered Nurse for 40 years and was awarded the Nursing Mentor of the Year in Orlando, FL. Mrs. Gray was an avid reader. She was the daughter of the late, George Randall and Marion McLea Waterman.

She is survived by:

Husband of 54 years – Jon Gray

Son – Jeffrey J. (Brenda J.) Gray

Daughters – Julie J. Gray and Heather (Mark) Rampey

Brother – James (Margaret) Waterman

Grandchildren – Taylor Gray, Jordan Gray, MacKenzie Gray, Zachary Gray,

Funeral services will be conducted 7 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Covenant Fellowship Church of the Nazarene, 101 Faulkner Lane, Mt. Juliet, TN with Rev. Kevin Ulmet officiating.

 

Interment will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2018 at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Honorary pallbearers will be Rod Jones, Keith Youmans, Jacob Rampey, Zachary Gray, Mark Rampey and Jeffrey Gray.

Graves, Hilton Morris, age 94, died July 2, 2018. Mr. Graves was a member of the Methodist faith and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was the son of the late, Hubbard Royal Graves and Margaret Supernois Noll. Mr. Graves was also preceded in death by his wife, Esther Goodner Graves and his brothers, Chester Royal Graves and Theodore Kingman Graves.

He is survived by:

Lindmark, Jeffery Dean, age 41, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died July 4, 2018. Jeff was the owner of a lawn and landscape business for ten years. He was a very generous giver, always showing kindness and real life advice to others. He was the funniest person in the group, who always had people in tears laughing. He will always be remembered with the best stories by anyone who knew him. Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Larry Lindmark; mother, Deb Lindmark; honorary father, Dr. Coleman Taylor and grandmother, Dorothy Lindmark.

He is survived by:

Sweetheart since the age of 12 and wife of 15 years – Missy Blake Lindmark

Sister – Angie Lindmark (Craig) Waddell

Mang, Linda Sue Watts, age 67, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died July 11, 2018. Linda attended Generation Changers Church. She was a seamstress. Linda also had worked as a teacher at the Tree House and provided child care in her home for many years. She enjoyed flower gardening and humming birds.

Gregory, Douglas Cecil, age 87, of Clayton, NC and formerly of Mt. Juliet, TN, died July 8, 2018. Mr. Gregory was a plumber and worked for Hoffman Plumbing Company for over 30 years. In his younger years, he enjoyed bowling. Mr. Gregory was the son of the late, John and Jenny Taylor Gregory. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lois Gregory; daughter, Donna Gregory and grandchild, Nickie Warrick.

Lannom, Lydia Squires, age 73, of Lebanon, TN, died July 11, 2018. Lydia was a former carrier for the Nashville Banner and was retired from Thomas Nelson Publishing Company. She was currently employed by Moss’ Flower Shop. Lydia was the daughter of the late, Eli and Frances Poole Squires. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George Ellis Lannom: grandson, Dana Lannom; brothers, Richard, Melvin and Wendell Squires and sister, Leifa Thorne.

She is survived by:

Willoughby, Dorothy Jean Roach, age 89, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died July 20, 2018. Dot was a member of Cloyd’s Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she was active in the CPW organization. She was a member of Hermitage Presbyterian Church for many years where she taught Sunday School and taught in the Youth Music Program. Dot earned her BS Degree and a Vocational Education Certificate from UT Knoxville. After graduating from college, she worked as a Home Economist for the J.L. Perry Company. She also taught at Mt. Juliet High School, Mt. Juliet Junior High School and was the Co-operative Education Program Coordinator at Wilson County Vocational School from 1981-1989. Dot was active in the Wilson County Education Association, Delta Kappa Gamma Honor Society and the Green Hill Woman’s Club where she served as Secretary for 4 terms. She was a member of the Needmore Bridge Club for over 50 years and was a member of Ilene’s travel bunch. After retiring from teaching, Dot persued art education and instruction. She was talented in china painting which she shared with family and friends. She was an avid UT sports fan and Atlanta Braves fan. Dot was the daughter of the late, Herman F. and Mary Oneal Roach. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Earl Willoughby; son, Al Willoughby and sisters, Virginia Clare “Tookie” Roach, Nancy Owen and Anne Lochridge. 

She is survived by:

Hicks, Alton Mary, age 101, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died July 21, 2018. Mrs. Hicks was a member of Gladeville Baptist Church. Mrs. Hicks was the daughter of the late, Thomas Monroe and Carrie Gosie Cassitty Tramel. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Hagar Hicks, Sr.; son, William Hagar “Bill” Hicks, Jr,; granddaughter, Karen “Sissy” Hicks and siblings, Troy Tramel, George Tramel, Johnie Tramel, Bessie Tramel and Jean Pack.

Adams, Betty Jeanne Howerton, age 90, of Green Hill, TN, left her earthly body and entered into the presence of God on July 15, 2018.  She was a member of Victory Baptist Church, and before that a member of Green Hill Baptist Church.  She was active in both churches, serving as a Sunday School teacher, a musician and choir member, a church hostess, and on various committees.

 

Betty was a graduate of Harry Truman University in Kirksville, MO, and taught music in schools in Missouri and Iowa for several years before she married and moved to Tennessee.  After her children were born, she worked alongside her husband “Doc” at Adams Gulf Service from 1954-1993.  She was a substitute teacher in Davidson County for many years, and also worked part-time at Moss’ Greenhouse.

 

She was active in many civic organizations, including the PTA during her sons’ school years, Band Boosters, the American Heart Association, and the American Cancer Society.

 

Betty was the daughter of the late Ray and Opal Howerton, and was preceded in death by her husband, H.D. “Doc” Adams and sister Jackie Spencer.

 

She is survived by:

Brother – Robert (Carolyn) Howerton

Sons – Ray (Vicki) and Bob (Anita)

Grandchildren – Jessica (Martin) Adams, Amanda Adams, Jonathan (Hallie) Adams, Jason (Jaime) Adams, Amy (Martin) Lucas, and Aaron (Laura) Adams

Great grandchildren – Jack Adams, Lola Adams, Lucy Adams, and Leia Adams

Kaplan, Shelley Field, age 66, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died July 27, 2018. Shelley was the daughter of the late, Ira and Jean Kaplan. She enjoyed camping and fishing. Shelley also liked to collect butterflies and Indian memorabilia.

Rinks, Edith M., age 85, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died July 27, 2018. Mrs. Rinks was an active member of Mt. Juliet Church of Christ. She enjoyed sewing and gardening. Mrs. Rinks was the daughter of the late, Tillman Ellus and Vernice Ghrigsby Bailey.

O’Donnell, Sandra Ann Dorman “Sandy”, age 75, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died July 28, 2018. Sandy retired in 1996 from the CIA where she was employed as a Logistics Officer. She enjoyed cooking and was a fan of the Washington Nationals and the Washington Redskins. Sandy was the daughter of the late, James Joseph and Betty Houston Dorman.

Cason, Imogene Ledford “Jean”, age 90, of Old Hickory, TN, died July 31, 2018. Mrs. Cason was born August 14, 1927 in Sparta, TN. She grew up in Gainesboro, TN and moved to Nashville in 1951. Mrs. Cason was a charter member of Lebanon Road Church of Christ. She was employed by James C. Hailey Engineering Firm 25 years. Mrs. Cason was the daughter of the late, Rufus Houston and Carrie Orene Brown Ledford. She was also preceded in death in 1986 by her husband, Charles O. Cason and by her sisters, Ruth Kinkaid, Polly Carter and Edna Birdwell. Mrs. Cason was a caring wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.

 

She is survived by:

Daughters – Vicki (Elton) Wiseman, Sarah (Chuck) Dunlap and

                  Nancy (Bob) Rose
