Sullivan, Joseph Wendel “Joe”, age 61, of Hendersonville, TN, died February 26, 2018. Joe was born and raised in Illinois, but moved to Tennessee 15 years ago. He was a plumber by trade. Joe attended St. Stephen Catholic Community. He was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Sullivan.

He is survived by:

Parents – Edward and Ann Sullivan

Siblings – Kathy Sullivan, Carol (Robert) Guth, John (Laura) Sullivan,

              Elaine (Todd) Humes and Jerry (Susan) Sullivan

Nieces and nephews – James, Anna Rose, Benjamin, Trevor, Shelby, Nicholas,

                               Jacob and Ian

Significant other – Margaret Nolan

 

Funeral Services will be conducted at 12 noon, Saturday, March 10, 2018 at St. Stephen Catholic Community, 14544 Lebanon Rd., Old Hickory, TN with a luncheon to follow. Interment will be in Illinois at a later date.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Holy Rosary Academy Tuition Fund, 190 Graylynn Drive, Nashville, TN 37214 or St. Stephen Catholic Community, 14544 Lebanon Road, Old Hickory, TN 37138.

Hester, Sally Anne White, age 83, of Lebanon, TN, died March 6, 2018. Anne was the 6th of 7 children born to the late, Herman Franklin White, Sr. and Margaret Speight White. She was born on January 29, 1935 at Paradise Plantation, the family farm, in Edenton, Chowan County, NC. Anne was a member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Juliet. She was very artistic and enjoyed oil painting, crafting, ceramics and crocheting. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Alice Brenney, Minnie Hagood, Peggy Chestnut, Herman F. White, Jr. and Oscar White, Sr.

She is survived by:

Husband of 58 years – Clarence E. “Corky” Hester

Daughters – Susan (Billy) Clark and Carol Humphrey

Grandchildren – Angela Kaye McHone, Stephanie Clark and Stacy Clark

Great-granddaughter – Kahlan McHone

 

Memorial services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Elmcroft Assisted Living Facility, 801 W. Main Street, Lebanon, TN with Rev. Paul Gunn officiating.

Dye, Sr. Autrey Eskew “Sarge”, age 87, of Lafayette, TN, died March 12, 2018. Mr. Dye was retired Sergeant First Class from the U.S. Army. He was a member of VFW Post #7135, where he served as Quartermaster from 2008-2017, Post Commander from 2014-2015 and is the current State of Tennessee Aide De Camp. Mr. Dye was the son of the late, Charles P. and Minnie Ella Stager Dye. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ann Dye and siblings, Grace, Hazel, Van and Clarence Verbon.

He is survived by:

Sons – Autrey E. (Allison) Dye, Jr. and Chris (Tiffany) Shores

Daughters – Jeanine (Ben) Wade, Mindy (Larry) Oldham and

                  Autre (Tim) Cooper

Grandchildren – Larkin Grant, Jessica Dye Rupe, Jason Dye, Sydney Hobbs,

                       Dezaraye Dawkins and Colston Oldham

Great-grandchildren – Savannah Seckman, Melissa Howell and Brittany,

                               Steven and Jordan Grant.

Great-great Grandchild – Jayce Allen, IV

Long time devoted friend and fishing buddy - Barbara Oliver.

 

Visitation will be 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Wednesday and funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Bond Memorial Chapel.

 

Interment with full military honors will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 7931 McCrory Lane, Nashville, TN 37221. Active pallbearers will be Jason Dye, Colston Oldham, Steve Grant, Mike Scott, Mike Woods, and Harry Lancaster. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the VFW Post #7135, Jerry Hargrove, Mickey Chambers, Larry Harper, Barry Jenkins and Dominic Desnoyer.

Sharpe, James Hulon “Jimmy”, age 74, of Hermitage, TN, died March 10, 2018. Mr. Sharpe was a 1961 graduate of Mt. Juliet High School and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was the son of the late, Hugh and Frances Caldwell Sharpe. Mr. Sharpe was also preceded in death by his wife, Carol Sharpe.

He is survived by:

Children – Jason James (Candi McCool) Sharpe, David Hulon Sharpe,

               Robert Alan (Emily Chambers) Sharpe and Anna Mae Sharpe

Grandchildren – Olivia Caroline Sharpe, Lillie-Anne Sharpe,

                       Hugh Frederick Sharpe, Axel James Sharpe and

                       Marshall Avis Sharpe

 

Funeral services will be conducted 12 noon Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Andrew Coleman officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Jason Sharpe, David Sharpe, Rob Sharpe, Anna Sharpe, Michael O’Connor and Doug Belcher.

Jones, Christie Lee, age 58, of Old Hickory, TN, died March 14, 2018. Christie was a member of Saturn Drive Baptist Church. She was a 1979 graduate of Mt. Juliet High School. Although Christie did not have children of her own, she loved children and was a babysitter to many over the years. Christie was preceded in death by her father, Charles M. Jones and twin nephews, Justin Charles and David Monroe Jones.

She is survived by:

Brothers – Andrew M. “Andy” (Cheryl) Jones, Randy Jones and

               Charles “Buddy” (Judy) Jones

Frost, Kenneth, age 95, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died March 1, 2018. Mr. Frost was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Community. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during WWII. Mr. Frost is retired from the Department of Energy as a Nuclear Inspector. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Diane Rose.

He is survived by:

Wife of 72 years – Carmela “Cam” Frost

Son – Ken (Vickie) Frost

Grandchildren – Laurie (Keith), Bryan (Terry), Anthony (Caroline) and

                       Renee (Davide)

Funeral Mass will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2018 at St. Stephen Catholic Community, 14544 Lebanon Road, Old Hickory, TN. Interment with full military honors will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, March 19, 2018 at Nashville National Cemetery.

Peach Betty Jean, age 86, of Nashville, TN and Sebring, FL, died March 23, 2018. Mrs. Peach atended Mt. Juliet High School in her younger years. She was a member of Gladeville Baptist Church and Emmanuel United Church of Christ in Florida. Mrs. Peach loved to knit and dance. She was the daughter of the late, Austin and Pauline Wills Simms. Mrs. Peach was also preceded in death by her husbands, J.W. Underwood and Lewis Peach and her brothers, Robert Simms, Raymond Simms and Paul Simms.

 

She is survived by:

Children – Paulette Martin, Gary (Anthony) Underwood and

               Jeff (Kathy) Underwood

Grandchildren – Ryland (Kristi) Underwood, Sarah (Lucas) Winstead,

Fererro, Judith Ann “Judy”, age 72, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died March 27, 2018. Mrs. Fererro was a member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Juliet. She had a servant heart and was active at her church as well as at the Mt. Juliet Senior Citizens Center. Mrs. Fererro was the daughter of the late, Raymond Lovell and Janey Maxine York Bandy.

Sister – Cynthia S. Dickerson

Grandchildren – Tyler Kennedy, Jesse Kennedy and Chase Kennedy
