Owens, Michael Edward, age 53, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died September 2, 2018. An admired and respected music industry veteran, Mike, first began his career working in radio when he was a teenager in Oklahoma. He became Music Director for powerhouse station KXXY in Oklahoma City, where he was discovered, and hired, in 1989 by the newly formed country label Arista Nashville, as part of their flagship radio promotion team where he worked for 11 years. Because of his natural instinct for picking songs, Mike was later hired as Vice President of A&R for Universal South Records where he worked for five years, and most recently, served for six years as Vice President of Creative for Sea Gayle Music. During the course of his long, and celebrated, time in the music industry, Mike contributed to the careers of some of country music’s biggest superstars. Mike was the son of the late, Benjamin and Ava (Lindsey) Owens. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, infant brother, Randy Owens; and father-in-law, Larry Menhusen, Sr.

 

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Radeana (Menhusen) Owens; daughter, Savannah Owens; three brothers and three sisters-in-law, James and Alma Owens, Terry and Lynn Owens, Dennis and Lydia Owens; one sister and brother-in-law, Darlene and Frank Orman; mother-in-law, Billie Baffrey; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John and Pam LaBrue, Larry and Shayla Menhusen; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

 

Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, Thursday, September 6, 2018, at West End United Methodist Church, 2200 West End Avenue, Nashville, TN 37203 with services following at 12:00 noon. Officiating will be Rev. Brandon Baxter and Tim DuBois.

 

Pallbearers will be Don Sampson, Jim "Moose" Brown, Jeff Lewis, Chris DuBois, Robert Filhart, and Marc Driscoll. Interment will be in Oklahoma City, OK.

Langford, Jennifer Elane Davenport, age 39, of Lebanon, TN, died September 2, 2018. Jennifer was a graduate of Celina High School, where she excelled in basketball and earned a scholarship to Vol State. She earned her MS degree from Cumberland University. Jennifer was a member of Joy Church. She was a homemaker and home-schooler of her three children, a board member of Eagle Academy in Mt. Juliet and a former employee of NBC Bank/Suntrust, Wilson County Farm Bureau and the Alumni Center at Cumberland University. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ralph and Jo Bradford and Glen and Lucille Davenport. Jennifer was also preceded in death by her uncle, Alan Bradford.

She is survived by:

Husband of 19 years – Rodney Langford of Lebanon, TN

Parents – Hugh and Teri Davenport of Celina, TN

Children – Nolan Clay Langford, Emmy Bryce Langford and

               Rellan Cole Langford

Brothers – Brad (Beth) Davenport of Manchester, TN and

               Matt (Brittany) Davenport of Cookeville, TN

Father and mother-in-law – Jackie and Tina Langford of Rickman, TN

Sisters-in-law – Chasity (Jonathan) Williamson and

                       Danielle (Robbie) Jordan, both of Rickman, TN

Jennifer was loved by many nieces and nephews

 

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Pastor Dave Goldner and Pastor Eddie Turner officiating.

 

Interment will follow at Puckett Cemetery in Smithville, TN. Active pallbearers will be Curtis Stone, Josh Pruno, Gary Tinsley, Jon Williamson, Lance Roach and Greg Bradford. Honorary pallbearers will be Brad Davenport, Matt Davenport, Robbie Jordan, Eric Cherry and Jim Moore.

Barnett, Naomi Jewel Cowgill, age 90, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died September 8, 2018. Mrs. Barnett was a member of the First Assembly of God in Hernando, MS was a former Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed volunteering in the community, crocheting and playing board games. Mrs. Barnett was the daughter of the late, Gavin Weaver and Sadie Helen Eoff Cowgill. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold Barnett; son, Gary Mitchell Barnett and 5 brothers and 3 sisters.

She is survived by:

Daughters – Diane (James) Heath and Robin Barnett

Grandchildren – Lori (Bill) Craig, Kelley Robinson, Corey (Amy) Barnes,

                       April (Woody) Graves, Sunny (Kindell) Stephens and

                       Mackenzie Roberts

21 Great-Grandchildren and 4 Great-great grandchildren

 

A Celebration of Life will be conducted 12 noon Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Dr. Marvin Carlton officiating.

 

Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Corey Barnes, Kindell Stephens, Riley Graves, Ryan Allen, Cross Barnes, Joseph Stephens and Isaac Stephens. Watts, James Albert, age 68, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died September 7, 2018. Mr. Watts was preceded in death by his daughter, Jamie Watts; son, Dewey Watts; sister, Linda Mang and brothers, Robert Watts, Randall Watts and Wesley Watts.

Seaborn, Robert Earl, age 72, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died September 9, 2018. Mr. Seaborn was the son of the late, Malcomb and Mary Mason Seaborn.

He is survived by:

Putty, Jr., Floyd Edward “Eddie”, age 69, of Hermitage, TN, died September 20, 2018.

He is survived by:

Fullhart, Phillip Wayne, age 54, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died September 20, 2018. Phil was manager, instructor and choreographer at World Champion Productions Dance Studio. He loved music and he loved to perform. Phil was a great cook and a Miami Dolphins fan. He was a member of Life Church. Phil was preceded in death by an infant son, Phillip Dexter Fullhart.

He is survived by:

Wife – Kathrine Fullhart

Parents – Phil and Mary Fullhart of Muncie, IN

Sons – Joshua Fullhart, Lucas Fullhart and Jeremy Gallagher

Interment will be Monday at 10 am at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens.

Jones, Edna Jean, age 96, of Hermitage, TN, died September 23, 2018. Mrs. Jones was a resident of Flint, MI before moving to Tennessee in 1995. She was a Red Cross volunteer for over 24 years at Flint Osteopathic Hospital and she was also a volunteer at Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville. Mrs. Flint was the daughter of the late, Paul P. and Edna Mae Hermann Schneiderhan. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Paul Schneiderhan, sister, Mary Ruth Miller and grandson, Aaron Alles.

She is survived by:

Husband – Rex L. Jones

Son – Ron (Mary) Jones

Daughter - Theresa Alles

3 Grandchildren

7 Great-grandchildren

Several nieces and nephews

 

At Mrs. Jones’ request, her remains will be cremated and no services are planned.
