Jeter, Jr., Louis Martin, age 81, of Nashville, TN, died August 2, 2017. Lou was a beloved father, grandfather, prayer warrior and member of Hickory Grove Presbyterian Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Korea. Lou was the son of the late, Louis Martin Jeter, Sr. and Grace Wheeler Cobb Jeter. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Jane Jeter McQuiston.

He is survived by:

Children – Jill (Donald) Wunder and Andy (Melissa) Jeter

Grandchildren – Cooper Wunder, Grace Jeter, Hannah Jeter, Abigayle Jeter

                       and Gabriel Jeter

Former wife – Beverly Jeter Davis

 

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Hickory Grove Presbyterian Church, 84 South Greenhill Road, Mt. Juliet, TN with Rev. Mike Graham officiating.

 

Interment with military honors will be conducted 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.

Brooks, Jamie Katherine Carver, age 65, of Mt. Juliet, TN, departed this earthly life on Thursday, August 3, 2017, after a brief illness.
She leaves to cherish her memory:

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Rev. Damond Bragg, eulogist. Interment will follow at Rutland Community Cemetery.

Jamie’s desire was for the community cemetery to have a sign marking our final resting place. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations, designated for the cemetery sign, be made to Rutland Baptist Church, 800 Rutland Drive, Mt. Juliet, TN 37122

Stanley, James Allen “Jim”, age 77, of Lafayette, TN, died August 6, 2017. Jim enjoyed fishing hunting and cars. He was the son of the late, Morgan Dewey and Martha Rose Stanley. Jim was also preceded in death by 7 siblings and his son-in-law, Chris Cunningham.

He is survived by:

Terrell, Neil Ansel, age 94, of Madison, TN, died August 6, 2017. Mr. Terrell was a member of the Methodist faith and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was the son of the late James and Sally McSwain Terrell. Mr. Terrell was also preceded in death by his, wives, Alice T. Terrell and Bessie Green Terrell and his brother, Wayne Terrell.

O’Donnell, William R. “Bill”, age 71, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died August 7, 2017. Mr. O’Donnell was retired from American Airlines after 36 years of service. He was the son of the late, W. Ralph and Kathryn Long O’Donnell. Mr. O’Donnell was also preceded in death by his sister, Marcia Saylor.

Angotta, David Bruce, age 71, of Hermitage, TN, formerly of Manchester, CT, died August 9, 2017. Mr. Angotta was a member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Juliet. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam. Mr. Angotta was the son of the late, William Louis and Ruby Wood Angotta.

Risner, Virginia Irons, age 81, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died August 9, 2017. Mrs. Risner was a member of Hermitage Hills Baptist Church for over 60 years. She loved to cook and her passion was collecting dolls. Mrs. Risner was the daughter of the late, Robert and Bertha Broadfoot Irons. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Risner; brother, Kenneth Irons and sister, Carolyn Sturgil. Mrs. Risner is survived by all of those who knew and loved her. It was her hearts greatest desire, for everyone she knew to know Jesus the way that she did so that no one would be left behind. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

 

Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Martha Lee officiating. Entombment will follow at Hermitage Mausoleum.

Cunningham, Coy Lee, age 58, of Mount Juliet, TN, died August 13, 2017. Coy was a member of the Stones River Dart Association and the Greater Nashville Darting Association. Coy loved to fish, be outdoors, enjoying music, and spending time with his family. Coy was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Joyce.

Cook, Sr., Vernon Ellis, age 84, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died August 14, 2017. Mr. Cook was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a retired truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents, James E. and Fannie Mai Elizabeth Duke Cook; 2 brothers and his son, James Cook.

Linzey, Paul Scott “Snakeman”, age 70, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died August 24, 2017. Scott was retired from the Tennessee Department of Corrections, Lois DeBerry Special Needs Facility and was formerly a Deputy for the Wilson County Sheriff’s Department. He enjoyed fast cars, motorcycles, reptiles and guns and when he loved, he loved with all his heart. Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Geraldine Bell.

Taylor, Donnie Glynn, age 70, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died August 27, 2017. Don attended Hermitage United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Donelson High School. He then served in the U.S. Air Force, with service in Korea and Okinawa prior to his graduation from the University of Tennessee. An avid golfer, Don would often play three times a week with the Del Webb Lake Providence groups. The only crowds he tolerated were those at a Vols or Titans football game. Don was preceded in death by his beloved step-father, James B. Roach.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Karen Taylor; his mother Ruth Barton Roach and twin brother Ron (Rosemary) Taylor; his children Bart (Heather) Taylor and Katherine (Wesley) Welch and was known to their children simply as “Bigg”. He dearly loved his grandchildren, Emilyn, Liam and Logan Taylor and Addison, Lillian, Eden and Easton Welch and they dearly loved him, always putting a smile on his face.

He is also survived by his brother in law, Carl (Jo Ann) Gorday and sister in law Gail Gorday. He has several nieces and a nephew who will miss him, as well as several great nephews and a great niece.

 

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM on Wednesday August 30 with Pastor Chris Seifert officiating.

Goodall, George Van Buren, age 91, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died August 31, 2017. George was born on July 29, 1926 on his grandfather’s farm which was called Oakland. He was the son of the late, Granville Van Buren and Mildred Elizabeth Williams Goodall. George was baptized at the Blue Hole on the family farm and was a longtime member of Green Hill Church of Christ where he served as a deacon and a Sunday school teacher. He was an Army veteran of WWII and served in the 6th Ranger Battalion. George was the first President of the Civitan Club of Mt. Juliet. He retired from Ford Glass Plant after 30 years of service and was a licensed funeral director for over 50 years. George enjoyed riding motorcycles in his early years. He shared a great love for the Hackney family. George was also preceded in death by his brothers, Jack Goodall and Billy Rhea Goodall; sister, Martha Wright; grandson, Anthony Goodall and nephew, Phil Goodall.

He is survived by:

Wife of 66 years – Mary Alfred Hackney Goodall

Son – Mike (Donna) Goodall

Grandchildren – Van (Kaci) Goodall and Whitney (Steven) Whitehouse

Great-grandbabies – Will and Mary Anne Goodall and

                             Tatum and Cash Whitehouse

Sisters-in-law – Donna Rhea Hackney, Gladys Hackney and Allie B. Hackney

Interment with full military honors will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens.

Tincau, John Michael, age 61, of Knox, IN, died August 30, 2017. John was a native of Romania, but escaped there in 1976. John was an authentic person with a great sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ileana Pop Tincau and his brother, George Tincau.

Sons – Bobby (Heather) Tincau and David Tincau

Grandchild – Brooks Tincau and a granddaughter due to be born in November

 

Memorial services will be conducted 12 noon Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Knox United Methodist Church, 201 S. Shield Street, Knox, IN. Visitation with the family will begin at 11 a.m. and a reception will follow the service.
