Eads, Faye Smith, age 86, of Old Hickory, TN, died March 8, 2017. Mrs. Eads was a member of Cooks United Methodist Church. She was a teacher at Children’s House Montessori School for many years. Mrs. Eads was the daughter of the late, Sherrill Anderson and Lorean Henderson Smith. She was also preceded in death by her brother, S.A. “Bill” Smith and sisters, Mrs. W.I. “Allie Mae” Coleman and Mrs. Joe “Tete” McCrary.

She is survived by:

Husband of 66 years – William E. Eads

Daughters – Kathryn Eads, Martha Eads and Monica Stancik

Granddogs – Oscar and Emmy

 

Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Monday, March 13, 2017 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Rev. Sandra Clay officiating. Graveside services will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Friendship Cemetery in Columbus, MS.

Miles, Anna Jewell Wells, age 91, Anna Jewell was born October 23, 1925. Angels made an unscheduled stop and carried her to Heaven on their wings. She arrived on March 12, 2017 to see all the beauties of Heaven and her loved ones who had gone on before. After almost 22 years apart, she has been reunited with her husband, Reverend Joe Miles. She is also celebrating with her parents, Reverend Joe and Mamie Wells; her brothers and sisters she never got to meet; grandson, Eric Masters and many friends and loved ones.

 

Together, they will await the arrival of their sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Sloan Miles and Gerry and Brenda Miles.

They will also be anticipating the reunion with their granddaughters, Rachel (Eugene), Angie (Jason), Crissy (Mark) and Jenifer (Tim).

Completing the celebration will be great-grandchildren, Gavin, Conner, Caitlin, Daniel (Katie), Micaiah, Gabrielle, Alysia, Gracie, Ashlyn, Aylah, Preston and great-great grandson, Ryan.

Anna Jewell will be missed by many, especially Patsy Bettis, her special friend of nearly 50 years.  

 

The family would love to see you at a Celebration of Life service on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at New Harvest Church of God, 1398 C Drive, Knoxville, TN. The Celebration will be led by Dr. Tony Richie and Reverend Charlie Dalton.

Gray, Richard Edward, age 60, of Murfreesboro, TN, died March 13, 2017.

Ricky was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Watkins Gray; his grandparents, Robert and Eleanor Gray and his grandmother, Edith Caroll.

 

He is survived by:

Bailey, Robert Danielsen, age 77, of Lebanon, TN, died March 18, 2017. Mr. Bailey was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was the son of the late Rob and Lena Danielson Bailey.

Howard, Charlene Frields, age 88, died March 21, 2017. Mrs. Howard was a longtime member of Arlington United Methodist Church and a resident of McKendree Village. She retired from Sears with over 30 years of service and was active with the retiree group. Mrs. Howard was the daughter of the late, William Harry and Eva Diane Taylor Frields. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry Mac Howard and her brother, Neal Fields.

She is survived by:

Son – Steven (Rosie) Howard of Mission Viejo, CA

Daughters – Pamela Howard of Winchester, TN and Angie (George) Gamble of Marietta, GA

Sister – Amelia (Dale) Fuqua of Jackson, TN

Grandchildren – Matt Howard, Jesse Howard, Stephanie Gamble and Kelly Gamble

Pace, Stanley Rocca, age 63, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died March 22, 2017. Stan was a husband, father, friend and kind stranger to many. He was a member of Hunter Memorial Presbyterian Church in Sikeston, Mo and attended Hickory Grove Church in Mt. Juliet, TN. Stan was son of the late, Val and Shirley Thomas Pace. He was raised in Helena, Arkansas where his love of fishing and hunting was cultivated. He later went to study Industrial Technology at Henderson State University and Mississippi State University where he met Robin, his wife of nearly 41 years. Stan began working for Sikeston, Missouri Board of Municipal Utilities in 1980 and retired from his position as Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor in 2014. He and Robin found their perfect home post-retirement near Old Hickory Lake in Mt. Juliet, TN, where they have lived happily for two years.

He is survived by:

A memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Hickory Grove Church, 84 S. Greenhill Road, Mt. Juliet, TN. An alliance of fellowship will be held one hour prior to the service.

Arnott, Alice L., passed away suddenly March 12, 2017 at Summit Medical Center at the age of 96. Mrs. Arnott was a longtime resident of Nashville, TN. She was born November 17, 1920, near Walnut Ridge, AR and was the daughter of the late, Robert Walker and Rina Wallace Smith. Mrs. Arnott also lived in Memphis, Cincinnati and Ft. Thomas, KY, where she graduated from high school. She attended the University of Kentucky and Iowa State University. She served in Europe after WWII with the American Red Cross. There she met her husband, Robert L. Arnott, who also preceded her in death. They had two children, Charles and Debra. The family lived in Nashville, Huntington, New York and St. Petersburg, FL. Mrs. Arnott worked for several businesses in Donelson and finished her working career at the Tennessee School for the Blind. Mrs. Arnott was a member of St. Phillip’s Episcopal Church. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert W. Smith, Jr. and her daughter, Debra Dungan.

 

She is survived by:

Memorial services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, April 2, 2017 at St. Phillip’s Episcopal Church, 85 Fairway Drive, Nashville, TN.

Jones, Sr., Larry Douglas, age 68, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died March 24, 2017.

Larry was a member of Victory Baptist Church. He was a leather broker and the owner of LJ Sales. Larry was the son of the late, Paul Kenneth and Margaret Henderson Jones.

Bowlin, Betty Marie “Elizabeth”, age 91, died March 29, 2017. Mrs. Bowlin was the daughter of the late, George and Agnes Reich Turkington. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Bowlin; son, Dennis Turkington and brothers, George, Bill and Jim Turkington. Mrs. Bowlin was a wonderful cook and loved BINGO and music. She was happy and kind and was always a friend to the friendless.

She is survived by:
