He was also much involved for twenty of those some years in the music business, providing personal and business management services for many successful country music artists, including among others, The Judds, Carl Perkins and Terry McBride. He also owned and operated his own record label, Dimension Records. Ken travel the world during his career, met two presidents of our great country and even kings of others, and famous folks from actors to athletes. This is great acclaim for a country boy from Antioch, Tennessee. Among his many attributes, he was most known by his family and friends for his generous and giving spirit. Katie was truly a ray of sunshine and will be missed by so many who loved her.  If you knew her, you knew she had a contagious smile and personality.  An aunt quoted that she had “a smile brighter than the sun, a heart full of God, and a beautiful soul.”  Katie loved Jesus; she loved serving whether it be in children’s Sunday School or in Haiti.  She was leaving in 8 days for Haiti. That mission trip will go on without her in person but her friends are making sure that her legacy will be left there by building a playground. She also loved her fur babies Garth and Cash.

Katie’s love for the kids at the Journey Church is a legacy that will live on for many years to come as the preschoolers she loved on weekly grow into godly men and women. As a way to honor Katie and keep her legacy going, the playground in the upcoming Kid’s Wing at The Journey Church will be named “Katie’s Corner”. This will be a place where young kids will get to laugh and play, all while learning of the love of Jesus. This is something Katie was passionate about and brought so many smiles to the faces of young children. Her life was a living example of the gospel being lived out.

In lieu of sending flowers, donations may be made through the Journey Church to the “Katie’s Corner” fund. You can give by going to tjclive.com/giving and click on “Katie’s Corner” in the memo section. You can go to any branch of Wilson Bank & Trust and give directly to the “Katie’s Corner Memorial Fund”.
